Ordered a Wacom bamboo but i am getting the new version? - General

Two weeks ago i ordered the wacom bamboo, this one right here: [img]http://alexcarpenter.files.wordpress.com/2008/12/wacom_bamboo_1.jpg[/img] Just now, i got a call saying the store doesn't have that one anymore, but instead i am getting the new version, THIS one: [img]http://www.gottabemobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/WacomBambooMultiTouch.jpg[/img] I ordered the one where you can only use the pen instead of your fingers, but now i ask: Is this version better/worse then the normal wacom bamboo i originally ordered?

That's the new bamboo.. You can only use your fingers to draw with.. Basically what it is, is an oversized laptop touchpad with pressure sense. It's completley useless IMO unless you're into finger painting. Call em up and tell them to get you the one you want. [editline]08:17AM[/editline] Oh and I believe it has mutitouch

Shit, ask for a refund right away. I think there's a version of the new one with a pen, but honestly, I don't know if its worth it.

I looked it up and there are three version(i ordered the first): -Pen only(Like the one i ordered, just different shape) -touch only -multitouch(pen and touch) The one i am getting will arrive tomorrow and i'll let you guys know how it rolls. I just hope it's up to par with the original wacom bamboo

A friend I know used it and said that it was horrible and inaccurate, he gave it back to the store the day he bought it

Can't imagine how the multitouch one will be, cause my hand is always ON the tablet's drawing region when I use it =/

Yeah sorry, was busy with college crap. Last friday i got an email from the store i purchased it from, saying it would arrive next workday, which, counting from friday, is monday. So after i didn't get it yesterday, i checked the status on the website and it said it was out of stock and that it would arrive after week. It's official. I have now waited more than three weeks on a product which had the status "buy before 17:00, arrives the next day!" I will update it once i have some progress or when i actually have it, but until then i shall have to wait

Phone them up and complain bitterly, you will get something for free i'm sure.
