Excellent start.
A zombie game? Unprecedented. Risky. Dangerous. Just the kind of innovative thinking we need to kick off this console.
Again with the exclusives.
How about..releasing games for every platfrom thus earning more $$$. Granted it will cost them more too and more work but that's just a dream for me.

There's some platforms where you're pretty much restricted to making exclusives (I.e. 3DS). I'd be suprised to see a game made mainly on Android be released to a PC/Xbox/etc. with different looking graphics, or an Xbox game released on an android with shittier graphics.
The lack of good zombie games saddens me.
If I had the talent I'd try as hard as possible to make something worthwhile to the genre, but all I have are ideas.
Brink 2
What's a "Creative Strategist"? Does he actually have any experience on how to make games or is he just an ideas guy?
Anyway that game won't be released soon, if ever.

This pretty much sums up Robert Bowling.

XIII and Splinter Cell were released on mobile phones years ago

yes lets ignore every game on this list
including dead island, dead rising, resident evil, killing floor, left 4 dead, Zombie Panic!, and brain bread
they all give huge variation to your options and are all good games, there are plenty enough. Thankfully, though, this article isn't about a zombie movie, there's too many of them.

You missed the part where I said "good games".
Dead Island fell short because of lack of attention to detail. The zombies looked good, but Jesus fucking Christ the human animations. That and the UI kinda seemed ripped from Dead Rising, but only a tad.
Dead Rising, Resident Evil, and Left 4 Dead are horrible, in my opinion but that's my own reasoning. I never got into Dead Rising to like it enough, I honestly didn't care for Resident Evil, and Left 4 Dead was so fucking linear and short, both of them, that it disinterested me from them.
And I haven't honestly played Killing Floor, Zombie Panic, and Brain Bread, mainly because I have shitty as fuck internet, but even from what I've read about them they don't seem great as well, other then Zombie Panic. Again though, my shit as fuck internet prevents me from downloading most good mods, and my graphics card slowly kicking the bucket doesn't help either.

Sounds to me like you want a specific zombie game that probably won't exist. And other then the fact that your expectations for zombie games are way too high.
I think the market is starting to get tired of zombies now. They're all getting their fix with DayZ

If i remember correctly, Activision didn't like his ideas too well. One time I remembered him saying he'd love to add all CoD4 maps as a free map pack and some other stuff. I don't think he liked how bad MW3 turned out and had many different ideas. He would have been fired most likely.
How about proving to your consumer that console development is actually ongoing and feasible at this point? All I've heard about the Ouya so far is that they need more money and this is their first exclusive, not exactly enough to get me hyped for this.

he is basically was the face of IW pr. ie he is the guy you 12 year olds insulted on twitter whenever something bad happened in cod.
Ouya's first exclusive to not exist because the console won't exist. More at never because who cares.
post implies i called you twelve. ignore pls.
Hey guys, we're going to show you people that are willing to develop "EXCLUSIVES" to our "nonexistence" prototype that we somehow have, buuut.. We can't show to the public yet, I'm so sorry. But we're a big scam and you guys should feel dumb to donate 5 freaking million to a project like this which would take literally 100s upon 100s of millions to become a reality.
Also, zombies? Really.

Sounds to me like you have way too high standards.
Dead Island was a pretty big letdown, but it still was a decent game because of the four player drop in drop out coop, vehicles, crafting, and how it was fairly open world. You can also turn off the HUD, or just the silly damage notifiers that completely ruin the chances of taking the game seriously.
Dead Rising seems like a humorous zombie killing game, never played it so I can't really say much besides that it got almost universally high reviews.
Resident Evil is like, the fucking staple of Zombie Games, at least 1-4 are.
Left 4 Dead is about teamwork and cooperation. It's shortness is countered by its replayability and multiplayer, and also Valve's signature moddability. L4D2 also has an insane amount of mutations and also new weapons.
Are you one of those people who wants a "true realistic zombie game" where all you do is barricade yourself in a house and sit in the corner eating cans of beans until you die?

This one looks promising: http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/07/19/the-war-z-announced-zombie-survival-shooter-mmo-with-strong-parallels-to-day-z/
Granted it came out of nowhere and is going to be released this fall, we'll have to wait and see.
So the ideas guy of call of duty is making the first game for ouya.
Off to a great start!

don't know about you but I didn't mind dead island

It sounds strange, but from both a story and gameplay perspective the zombies barely factor into anything in dead rising and that's to the series' benefit.
don't know about you but I didn't mind dead island
Dead Island was way overhyped. It's certainly not a bad game, but huge expectations were made for it and it fell so short it's not even funny.
Taking the game at base value though, it's got all the markings of a pretty solid game. A bit unpolished in areas and a bit buggy though.

Cant we see what happens first? What happens if it becomes a new competitor? It would be nice to see some new competition with the wii u and hopefully the Ouya.

hey dude guess what. there's no way this is possible for the amount of money they've gotten, especially in 8 months. fucking low budget handheld games have a bigger budget than this thing has now
Zombies are way too overdone these days.
I mean, mainstream gaming does them way too much already, but have you seen the Xbox indie marketplace? Search the word "zombie" and see how many games show up, I dare you.
The folks at both ARMA2 and DayZMod work together to ship out DayZ on all platforms.
Game over.
