• New pickups?

I've been wanting to boost up my guitar (Gibson flying V) and I want to start by changing the pickups. From the standard humbuckers I've got to something more versatile, more punch, more crunch. I was thinking about some Seymour Duncans or some EMG humbuckers. Any suggestions guys?
If you want the best, Look for some bareknuckles, They're pretty awesome for almost any style of music, passive but very hot. You also might want to say what music you'd like to play. and if you want a active set.
Personal preference but EMG sounds pretty plastic sounding to my ears
don't get EMGs unless you are a total loser and want to play really bad messhuggah riffs
Dimarzio have great pickups too, would recommend, or sometimes Bareknuckle But either Seymour Duncan or Dimarzio puts you in good hands
you couldn't just ask in the guitar discussion thread? dimarzio super distortion in the bridge and air norton in the neck and you're done

Sorry, I forgot to mention in the OP. I play in a doom/stoner Metal band, so something with a kinda vintage sound and some nice cleans (for distortion, i'll probably be running it through a fuzz/disto pedal)

Thanks guys! I'll be going for Dimarzio SD in the bridge and PAF in the neck [editline]1st April 2013[/editline] Any ideas on some good fuzz, flanger and delay pedals? (sorry for being such a hassle)
