My friend hates this movie because he over analyzes it. It's an awesome movie.
Ok I said that before I watched the video not knowing it was satire, I laughed so hard when it said "Captain America gets aids from handling bloody baseball cards"
heh I guess it was satire. I didn't find it very funny
[editline]20th December 2012[/editline]
but still, half of these are legitimate complaints and half of them are stupid
like, for example
"there is no gravity in space"
what
also, I don't think the idea of the scepter not working on tony stark is because it's not in the center of his chest, I think it's because of the arc reactor in his chest...
I found it hilarious when Captain America tips Nick Fury with a $10.
The Helicarrier was hella AWESOME
I was like aw shit it's a submarine as well as an aircraft carrier that's awesome! Wait a second that shit's FLYING HOLY DICKS
But there IS gravity in space.
Also the portal was open, so I'm sure the gravity was from Earth pulling Iron Man.

That, and the force from the nuke. How did that guy even miss that?

psh I don't really want to get into movie physics, but its interesting enough to explore
for any force to be transferred to Stark, he'd need to be pushed by the short lived particles spewed out by the detonation - it's plausible he's pretty far away from the explosion, he'd have to be much closer to the detonation for that to be noticable (there's no fireball or shockwave in space, both of those are the result of interactions with air)
the force due to gravity coming through the portal is a much more believable cause, consider how close to the surface the portal is to get an idea of how strong the pull of gravity would be up there
Loki getting caught monologuing was the best shit ever. That's not even a fuck-up imo.
Someone explain to me how the hella carrier can transport Mjölnir.

super hero magic
It's an awesome movie.
I don't know if this is satire, but even if it isn't, most of these points are stupid.

Unless he was flying horizontally to achieve orbit, he'd fall back down anyway. You can be pretty far from Earth and just come back down if you aren't moving in some direction besides "up."

Its not THAT heavy is it?
They can transport the fucking hulk
I'm sure its fine

The hammer cannot be moved by anyone but the wielder so by putting it down it should pull the ship down to the ground.
The hammer cannot be moved by anyone but the wielder so by putting it down it should pull the ship down to the ground.
I'm almost certain Odin took that into consideration when he enchanted Mjollnir, because otherwise it would have pulled the entire fucking planet down whenever someone set it on the ground.
What the fuck, there was a second ending scene?
What the fuck, there was a second ending scene?
Yeah, but it was just the Avengers eating at a restaurant in silence. It's still funny, though.
The hammer cannot be moved by anyone but the wielder so by putting it down it should pull the ship down to the ground.
I know that but there has to be limits
What if Thor just placed it on the floor, the entire Earth would be dragged into the fucking sun
Oh man, how did I not know about that Shawarma scene before? That is GOLD.
The hammer cannot be moved by anyone but the wielder so by putting it down it should pull the ship down to the ground.
actually if someone put it down wouldn't it just float in the air? no one can move it so that means not even gravity can move it.
but that would mean it would appear to fly off into space since we are moving at thousands of miles per second through the universe.

these points don't mean the movie is bad.
and many of them are pretty true. the part where loki just sits and has a drink with stark while he gets suited up bugged the shit out of me.
same with the hulk suddenly being able to control himself with some vague explanation of him "always being angry"

Loki didn't sit and have a drink with stark, he blew him out of the fucking window. The only thing that saved him was the flying fridge.
The hulk wasn't controlling himself, he was wrecking shit up. There were more of the Chitauri than there were the avengers, and they were all shooting at him in particular. Cap didn't give him any orders besides "Smash," and because the chitauri were trying to kill him, he decided to smash them instead of everyone else.

Difference being a planet and a flying carrier. So any schlub can lift the hammer if he has a decent sized ship, completely making the purpose of his hammer being unmovable. Considering they can just scoop it up and fly away with it.

Because you can totally use a hammer effectively as it's meant to be used in battle by putting it on a ship and flying away with it

He meant the fact Banner could almost instantly force himself to become the Hulk.

No you can't but being able to move it would defeat the point of it not being movable. A ship with light speed could travel light years away with it. Thor could reach out and have it travel back to him but I don't know how long that would take
He meant the fact Banner could almost instantly force himself to become the Hulk.
Pretty sure the ending of The Incredible Hulk made it painfully obvious that he could control when he wants to become the Hulk (though he can't fully control the Hulk).
Will people ever stop it with the gravity in space thing? Well jeez I dunno, maybe it's coming from Earth? Considering Stark is what, a few hundred meters up in the air? Quite sure gravity is strong there. Once the portal closes, yeah the pull will be gone, but if it's a open portal, you will be pulled back in.

The heat would push him, not the explosion itself. But yeah it's pretty obvious in the movie that gravity from the portal pulls him in.
The most idiotic thing about the movie, and really the worst one, was how the hulk could apparently control his rage and shit, after almost killing everyone on the carrier because he couldnt control his rage.
