So far, the only two things that really stand out to me on VR are Job Simulator and Rec Room. I don't think Rec Room is coming to PS4 though.
And Onward you mean.
30 second break every 10 minutes fuck that
30 second break every 10 minutes fuck that
To be fair, most companies say that- so that when you don't stop playing and die of starvation, they can go "Not our fault, we told them to take a break.". Still, I really hope they iron out these visual issues- even if the controllers freak out, I'd think the headset should keep things steady.

Guess we have to wait and see.
Never forget.

Whether or not this is all a calibration issue, aka replacing the headset made it go to factory settings, or there's actually some defective units, is key in making PSVR actually marketable. As you said though, we just have to wait. I really want this to be successful, and not another Vita. [editline]7th October 2016[/editline]
Never forget.
To be fair, this video cherrypicked moments where it wasn't so great- I remember enjoying a lot of things from the Oculus and Vive livestreams. The PSVR livestream, though...almost the entire time was complaints and problems. Of course, it's still cherrypicking, but not as egregious as this vid.
It depends on unit because a smaller gaming channel I followed had only a minor fuzziness image quality issue that could never get perfect.
Never forget.
Always take CrowbCat's videos with a pinch of salt because they tend to be really cherry-picked and edited towards a certain bias.

If you actually watched the stream he took those clips from, that video is 20 minutes of negativity from an 11 hour stream that was generally positive. The PSVR stream was a lot... less positive though.
Also of note Jeff was legit mad about that video and actually debated getting it taken down because it MASSIVELY misconstrues their opinions on those devices. That said, the PSVR seems like it needs some work, but it will still probably be the most accessible way for people to try it in the mainstream that isn't a phone.

I've used psvr a handful of times and have never had any head tracking issues, I've always found the move controllers to be pretty crap though
source? hadn't heard this before
http://jeff.zone/post/144738602426/not-sure-if-youve-already-seen-this-but-a
stark1730 asked:Not sure if you've already seen this, but a youtuber named Crowbcat edited down the original Oculus and Vive launch live streams to about 20 minutes and was fairly anti-VR. How do you feel about this?

I think it sucks and I came pretty close to having someone issue a takedown since it really misrepresents our opinion.

http://jeff.zone/post/144738602426/not-sure-if-youve-already-seen-this-but-a
the video is extremely cherry picked but if they filed a takedown i think it'd be pretty cunty of them.

I haven't used the PSVR yet but having used a vive and oculus dk2, you're going to want to take a short break just to air out the headset and cool yourself off. These headsets aren't unbearably heavy, but they're far from light and having all that shit covering up your head gets you hot
the video is extremely cherry picked but if they filed a takedown i think it'd be pretty cunty of them.
Not really? They're using clips of footage to misrepresent their actual opinion. That seems like a good reason to file a takedown to me.

The backlash would be immense. Better to thumb your nose at the guy and say "wow what an asshole."
Crowbcat also later changed the title to "virtual reality games are not so great yet" and added this to the description
This video doesn't reflect the final verdict of Giantbomb, it's a compilation of the disappointing stuff.
I played the PSVR at a best buy, was not convinced at all. Didn't add anything to the game (I played that one space one) and it wasn't immersive. The 3d was barely apparent but the large pixels were, it felt more like I was sitting close to a TV screen that had head tracking, albeit functionally useless head tracking because the game didn't need it. I've had more engaging boundary experiences on my 3DS

PSVR could be a piece of shit, that's not going to stop me from entering this Taco Bell promotion every day to try and get a free one.
the fat guy always make me laugh

None of the VR headsets have very good resolutions at the moment, but the PSVR currently wins when it comes to pixel density.
the video is extremely cherry picked but if they filed a takedown i think it'd be pretty cunty of them.
i wouldn't think they'd be in the wrong for a video that misrepresents them to push the video maker's bias but i think he made the right call to not do it and just mention it on his blog about how he doesn't approve anyway, the only PSVR games that looked cool to me were superhypercube and thumper, which don't really justify the device or do anything specific with the device capabilities
It really looks like the Move hardware isn't really able to do the VR thing since it was never designed with VR in mind. You really need nearly perfect precision and the Move isn't at that level. Move was fine for what it was when you are just waggling wands in front of a TV, but when you strap a screen to your face that busted moving when you aren't thing makes you get motion sick very quickly. I'm quite amazed Sony never stopped and said "okay this stuff isn't working at acceptable levels, we need to make some hardware designed for this headset instead of trying to pinch pennies on a bleeding edge technology that banks on people actually enjoying it to take off."
