Just from seeing the trailer, it's a disgrace to the TV show. You should watch the show, it's pretty damn good.

After Earth is the worst movie I have seen in 2013 so far
What were they thinking with that scene with earth benders lifting one rock.
The worst part is this is significantly better than most of the movie.
Also Madam Cleo could have done a better job.
This movie is a disgrace to the cartoon. I remember watching it with my brother just so we could laugh at it, but the majority of the movie was just bad bad, not funny bad. We were baffled by the changes shamashamalama made to the world and how half-assed it was.

It's also silly to think that the 2 'sidekicks' are eskimo-like and their skintone is similar to that of filipinos in the cartoon, along with their whole (water tribe) ethnicity, while all the other charachters are more white than else, with the exception of some latino-tanned earth tribes.
But nope, this is Hollywood and we will soak this with so much orientalism you won't be able to recognise the charachters- without forgetting to make the leads white to make them relatable to our target demographic!
That entire film should have been a deleted scene.

I don't really want to defend the movie, but that mirrored .bmp shitfest landscape is just placeholder art to represent what [I]would have been[/I] a digital landscape had the deleted scene been included in the film. Because the scene was cut, they didn't bother with any of the special effects or fancy scenery. That still was just thrown together for the "Deleted Scenes" segment on the DVD release.
Never seen the movie - at first thought it was satire. I was wrong.

I've watched every Episode, loved them all.
I wouldn't touch that movie with a ten foot sterilized pole that someone else held, because I know that if I see it I'd ruin the entire show for myself.
