What about original and unique first person shooters, like Bioshock type games, do they get no love, they have the luck to get lumped with the horseshit that is Call Of Duty.

Sad but true, franchises are sapping developer's creativity. But I suppose they aren't to blame, after all, they like money, and lots of it.

Which is unfortunate because I don't really see developers doing anything new or exciting with either of those technologies either, just a bunch of mini-game collections for the most part.

How about for a game: You are your average facepunch user who is currently browsing the forums, you encounter a thread that talks about a video game idea where users get sucked into the facepunch universe as a platformer and make it through all the different forums (e.g. General Discussion, Refugee Camp etc.), you think this idea is shit and you end up writing a long rant and rating the post dumb, as soon as you rate the post dumb: you get sucked into the computer and you find yourself in the world of facepunch, and you have to go through all the different forum sections to get back from your computer, this also works as a beat em up.
