So some background to the video. You may have seen in the news an individual killed two relatives and shot three cops, stole a police vehicle, hijacked another motorist and live-streamed himself on Facebook doing it.
He was on the run for nearly a week before they found him. Here is an article to go with the video for your reference:

Anyway, the video of the shootout:

No matter what someone was going to Valhalla that night. This guy has absolutely had military training just from the way I saw him on the road handling himself but here are some highlights:
* 00:08 - Fucker runs a road block while being lit up
* 1:07 - Suspect shooting back at the cops chasing him. The Trooper rests his AR on the steering wheel while driving and returns effective fire on the vehicle through the windshield of his unit.
* 3:11 - Subject vehicle stops and continues to exchange gunfire. Suspect puts vehicle into reverse and exits, using it as rolling cover to return fire while advancing on the officers.
* 3:43 - Suspect disengages from cover and is killed by a burst of fully automatic gunfire.
* Troopers proceed to shoot the body periodically until the end of the video.

The absolute madman. This is stuff straight out of an action movie. I read the news and saw the guys Facebook video but like, I had no idea it was ever going to end like this.
"Suspect puts vehicle into reverse and exits, using it as rolling cover to return fire while advancing on the officers."
Holy shit
Jesus Christ, at the end you just have 5-6 officers pumping him full of lead. That was fuckin brutal.
It's a fuckin warzone over there!
"Suspect puts vehicle into reverse and exits, using it as rolling cover to return fire while advancing on the officers."
Holy shit
That is some radical John Wick type style bullshit right there
Did I seriously just watch a policeman fire a gun from a moving car through the windshield? That's kinda crazy. (Not to mention his poor ears)
Did I seriously just watch a policeman fire a gun from a moving car through the windshield? That's kinda crazy. (Not to mention his poor ears)
While being the fucking driver himself, nonetheless. Fucking crazy. Staties are badass motherfuckers.

That's how ya get tinnitus!
Man that was intense.
That state trooper leading the chase did some fucking exemplary driving and shooting, holy shit.
I love watching people being good at their jobs.

He was bought and paid for. He had shot numerous people, and killed a couple people. If a suspect left at large is a life threatening danger to the public, it becomes a dead or alive you're going with the police type of situation. They were NOT going to let him get away, period. And they made damn sure, too. Seesh
Ex-Militia or Ex-Military? I haven't seen anyone outside those two practice the whole truck in reverse maneuver for cover, and then full-on progressive push while pinning down people.
Glad this ended the way it did, guy went off the rails a long time ago from the looks of it.
That state trooper leading the chase did some fucking exemplary driving and shooting, holy shit.
Honestly that was extremely reckless. He endangered himself immensely with that stunt.

You've seen militia men doing this in real life before?
I was highly impressed by the action take until the police officers killed the suspect shot the dead body for over one minute.

same as when dallas cops blew the shooter up with c4. suspect was highly skilled and they didnt want to take chances
like this
Godamn this state trooper is badass af. The guy shoots an assault rifle from his car throu the windshield while driving while being shot at while leading the chase in the dark and he still can shoot straight and hit the truck multiple times.
Honestly that was extremely reckless. He endangered himself immensely with that stunt.
It's obvious that he's trained that maneuver, it looked very natural the way he did it (especially reloading it with one hand).
Can someone explain while they were hailing him with bullets at the end when cleary he was dead? Isn't that abit of an overkill?
Can someone explain while they were hailing him with bullets at the end when cleary he was dead? Isn't that abit of an overkill?
One can only assume that they weren't completely sure he was dead and that he might have just dropped prone or something.
Can someone explain while they were hailing him with bullets at the end when cleary he was dead? Isn't that abit of an overkill?
Contrary to what television and media would have you believe, you only kill another person instantly by destroying the heart, spine, or brain. In some cases a round can even hit one of these organs, penetrate, and still fail to completely incapacitate a suspect. Hitting the lungs will generally incapacitate pretty decently, but you often need to hit both for it to quickly incapacitate. Even then it won't be instant.
The overwhelming majority of other gunshot deaths are due to blood loss. Bearing in mind that, unless the round has physically destroyed all necessary limbs, nothing stops someone who is fatally wounded from returning fire while they bleed out. You can lose about five and a half liters of blood before dying. Even a significant gunshot wound is still going to take a minute to get to that point and adrenaline will often keep people going until they get pretty far into blood loss.
Gunfights at close range are brutal.
Given how far out they were, if they hit him with a spray of automatic rifle fire, he was going to be dead long before EMS arrived anyhow. May as well make sure.

Unsure if he was dead or incapacitated, they were not going to take the chance considering he was returning fire previously and he still had the weapon on him when he dropped.

glad to see someone understands how police are trained to use their weapons. fire at the target until the target is eliminated, but only fire at the target if you have to. these cops did a great job.
also: don't forget about the numerous places on the human body where a bullet can go straight through you and leave you still on your feet and not mortally wounded.
Days into the manhunt with no sign of the runaway killer, investigators initially believed Vance may have died from an infection. He suffered at least one gunshot wound to the torso during an Oct. 23 gun battle that wounded two Wellston police officers.
"He fell to the ground again, laid there for a few minutes, got back up. The firefight was on again," recalled Wellston Officer Jim Hampton, who was shot in the foot during the mayhem.
Thats why. Because he'd been downed before just a couple days prior and got back up to continue shooting.

I love how he puts the gun down at 1:50 to calmly explain why there's shots being fired, 'I'm shooting at him trying to take him out', like it's just another routine day on the job.
That's how ya get tinnitus!
Mhap! Mhap!
The overwhelming majority of other gunshot deaths are due to blood loss.
Hematoma (internal clotting from internal bleeding) is another real killer. Even minimal blood loss can cause tremendous organ damage.
For those wondering about gun injuries in depth, watch this. Warning, contains a few pictures of horrific injuries.

the entire thing could have gone differently had he never leave the cover provided by the moving truck. I'm glad he made that fuck up
I was out there when it happened, this guy's been on the run for like 2 weeks.
