• Man So Bad At Growing Pot He Is Spared Jail
A cannabis grower has been spared from jail because he was rubbish at it. The judge and prosecutor and even his lawyer all agreed that Joshua Hughes’s 40 cannabis plants were too puny to ever be worth harvesting. The 20-year-old from Stockton paid £200 for the growing kit and he tended them every day. But police photographs of them at his rented flat failed to impress the Recorder of Middlesbrough, Judge Simon Bourne-Arton QC, who said: “Well, I’m not going to say that it was a commercial grow”.
http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/teesside-news/stockton-cannabis-grower-spared-jail-10886691#ICID=sharebar_twitte picture of plants [thumb]http://assets.hightimes.com/styles/large/s3/failed-marijuana-plant.jpg?itok=LV_zg8nJ[/thumb]
Kind of weird. I mean, attempted murder is still punishable right? I'm not at all saying growing weed is anywhere near as bad as murder, but if it's illegal, an attempt to do it should still be an offence as far as I understand it.

The fact that people get their lives destroyed by the government for growing some flowers is disgusting. Some people totally get off the hook and others get fucked over hard, it's unfair. Can't wait to see the day this shit is legalized across the country so people can finally enjoy life and be happy without fear of being crushed by some tyrannical government bullshit. That does way more harm to someone's life than the drug itself
governments have no idea how much revenue their missing out on with cannabis being illegal didn't the states in America who fully legalised it showed more tax revenue ever when the bill came into full effect?
Thats quite a sad sight

Most civil codes of law have a "for want of injury" basis, so it makes sense that if he was growing his pot so badly that you'd be more likely to get high off your lighter fuel than your joint, he wouldn't face real repercussions.
governments have no idea how much revenue their missing out on with cannabis being illegal didn't the states in America who fully legalised it showed more tax revenue ever when the bill came into full effect?
I recall some news on facepunch about how a specific state managed to make more money out of weed than alcohol in the year it was legalized. Although it may just be a direct effect of the recent legalization and not something that will remain on the long run. Honestly the only downside to legalization is that potheads are often incredibly obnoxious and legalizing would mean I'd have to see more of them and they'd be even more obvious about their hobby, and that's hardly the kind of thing that should get in the way of progress :v:
Should give him 100 hours of community service and make him go through basic farming lessons
Holy shit how is it even possible to be that bad [editline]18th February 2016[/editline]
growing kit and he tended them every day.
He definitely didn't
imagine being the guy whose dank was so shit the cops didn't put him in jail
Holy shit how is it even possible to be that bad [editline]18th February 2016[/editline] He definitely didn't
Overwatering maybe?
Overwatering maybe?
looks like some heavy chemical burn judging by those leaves, probably fed the poor fuckers nutrients every single day, i mean it's pretty stunning that the plants could end up looking that terrible
There was nowhere near enough heat or even light for those He didn't trim the dead leaves [editline]18th February 2016[/editline]
looks like some heavy chemical burn judging by those leaves, probably fed the poor fuckers nutrients every single day, i mean it's pretty stunning that the plants could end up looking that terrible
Yeah look at the heights compared to the fruitation, the dude definitely must've roided 'em up to fuck :v:

Then they walk out the door naked get to the place and start screaming about how they're going to murder them.
Surely he must be charged with attempted horticulture!
Horviculture*
If you compared this to murder it would be more like someone saying they're gonna murder someone. You could plant a seed in the ground, not touch it and it'd look better than the ones he is growing. Not to mention the tiny pots those plants are in. The roots of those plants must be dense.
I think weed culture is just some edgy crap people do because its illegal though. it'll become like meth culture or something if weed is legalized
All the potheads I know are either obnoxious as fuck when high or incredibly cranky when sober, because they're too moronic to use the drug occasionally and instead smoke the damn thing at the same frequency as cigarettes. Even without the whole weed culture thing they're just shitty people to hang out with.
Hehehe, no one will ever know about my real grow room that's hidden under the crappy one...
governments have no idea how much revenue their missing out on with cannabis being illegal didn't the states in America who fully legalised it showed more tax revenue ever when the bill came into full effect?
Well since it can be used to make a whole bunch of medicine that would take profits away from big pharma and corporations so they can't allow it to be legal.
Well since it can be used to make a whole bunch of medicine that would take profits away from big pharma and corporations so they can't allow it to be legal.
Do people really think like this?
Well since it can be used to make a whole bunch of medicine that would take profits away from big pharma and corporations so they can't allow it to be legal.
But big pharma and corporations can't use weed to begin with because it's illegal so even if they acted as the greedy corporate monsters you want them to be, they still wouldn't get shit from weed being illegal.
Overwatering maybe?
Looks more like he watered them with Brawndo because it's what plants crave
Do people really think like this?
It's not hard to get sucked into that type of thinking, what with big pharma being scumbags and what not.
I think weed culture is just some edgy crap people do because its illegal though. it'll become like meth culture or something if weed is legalized
ya that's what people don't get. stoner culture is a counter movement. legalizing weed wouldn't make the movement stronger, it'd remove its purpose and appeal
ya that's what people don't get. stoner culture is a counter movement. legalizing weed wouldn't make the movement stronger, it'd remove its purpose and appeal
ending stoner culture is the main reason I'm pro-legalization tbh
ending stoner culture is the main reason I'm pro-legalization tbh
I'm also against legalization because I don't want stoners to think they've accomplished something. It's a tricky thing so I just leave it empty on the ballot
