I watched the game on the 4PP stream and it seemed like fun. Unfortunately I don't think anyone there played the original games. So brad would just whine about all the weird characters and wtf the big deal about spiral mountain was.
Meh, I actually enjoyed Nuts and Bolts. Yes it is nothing like the original Banjo Games but it was still fun once you started getting enough parts to make ridiculous vehicles. IE A motorcycle with essentially 2 ICBMs strapped to the sides.
I also thought that the game itself was pretty good even though the beginning was really slow - later on the levels are less empty and you have way more vehicle parts.
Bought it for 20 euro
Honestly i thought it was good, not as good as 1 and 2 but certainly not terrible.

The sad part is, while I love the revival of Banjo and Kazooie, if some other character name was slapped on place instead, none of this rage would exist and people would just play a genuinely good game.

slapping banjo kazooie on it and showing us the reveal to the game as a "banjo kazooie game with better graphics" is just tricking us, tbh. and the rage we show is simply our reaction to the feeling of betrayal.
btw i love jontron and to see him get so many views on his youtube channel is awesome. he seems like a genuinely cool guy too so he deserves it.

What always pissed me off the most about Nuts and Bolts was that the original teaser described the game perfectly.
We first see a HD brand new BK game with all the collectibles and even the theme song, naturally, we are pumped as hell.
Then suddenly they run in to a fake wall, revealing that the whole promise was just a fake and a trick.
Rare knew exactly what they were doing, and that's what pisses me off about it.
Example of someone doing those "chaotic subtitles" very very right. Love this guy, his videos have an AVGN-like budget feel.
I hate seeing that teaser for Nuts and Bolts, it makes me feel sad about what could have been. Banjo was basically my whole damn gaming childhood, and is still in my top 10 favorite games.
I still like Nuts and Bolts as a game, but it's by far not a Banjo game at all. I still haven't even fully completed it to this day, and I left no stone unturned in the first two.
Ugh if anything I blame Microsoft for the whole fiasco, Rare just went to shit after the purchase. Why on earth did Nintendo ever sell Rare? They surely must have been able to make them money with all the great shit they had made. I'd much rather have played an actual Banjo game with wagglan' and shit like that on the Wii then a goddamned car game.
