NEWSFLASH: Britain has just lost its last triple-A credit rating. Standard & Poor’s has downgraded the UK to AA, with a negative outlook, following the EU referendum decision.
It also believes that growth will be ‘significantly lower’ between 2016 and 2019, with growth averaging just 1.1% per year.

S&P blames the Brexit vote, saying it has weakened the UK’s “predictability, stability and effectiveness” of policymaking in the UK.
I keep telling myself that it's going to get worse before it gets better, but i'm beginning to be less sure.
Rating agency S&P says EU referendum result is a ‘seminal event’ that means Britain no longer deserves a top credit rating
Let's see how deep this boat can sink.

Don't worry, it'll get better after a decade or two!
Time to dive right into another recession after just starting to recover from the last one, great
Meanwhile, Farage is worried there'll be people out for his blood and has stepped up his personal security.
Gee, I wonder why.
I still can't believe that a country as old as the UK could even pull off such a titanic fuck up
What's even the best option now? The parliament just biting the bullet ignoring the referendum and then maybe try going back to status quo? Political backlash and the ensuing shitstorm surely won't be worse than actually going out.

"We'll put £350 million into the NHS if we leave!"
After:
"No, no...i-it was a mere s-suggestion, I didn't say we WOULD per se..."
Everyone all over the UK: "Uh, fuck off mate, yes you did, and heres hundreds of thousands of images of proof!"

I found it funny when they asked Cameron if the NHS will get 350 mil a week and he and alot of people there laughed earlier today
it honestly almost seems like everyone is trying to actively punish the UK for their decision to leave

If Texas suddenly decided to leave the union i'm sure you guys would treat them better than were going to treat the UK.
Oh wait.
This is beyond funny now
Can we please revert the referendum
it honestly almost seems like everyone is trying to actively punish the UK for their decision to leave
as they should, as a country our populace voted to leave and that deserves ridicule

People are not punishing us. We made an objectively bad decision and are now seeing the consequences. It's not like people weren't warned of this before hand, they are just discovering that being 'tired of experts' doesn't make them wrong.

in all honesty, this will be a textbook example of why you don't leave monumental decisions such as this up to a simple yes/no popular vote, while it looks more democratic, the public cannot be informed of all the ramifications and a simple yes/no vote cannot convey the intricacies of what it actually implies

Ignoring the ref would probably destroy much of the Tory party, it's been on its last legs for years.
Well then, are they willing to sacrifice themselves to save their country now?
They'd have a little bit of my respect if they did, but they wont.
Tories are rich and they'll be fine regardless of what happens. So no they won't fall on their sword.
Boilrig ? Can you explain this too and how it doesn't matter and things will get better after stuff calms down?
Silly Sil? Can you please explain again why getting out of the EU instead of changing the stuff you dislike is worth fucking up the economy?

yeah well when you shoot yourself in the foot it's not the range instructor punishing you
honestly it seems ridiculous to me that britain might honor a choice that was made entirely on the back of lies
