I was just wondering how biased and/or stupid CNN is. I friend of mine mentioned the other day that he was watching some program on CNN, and I made some comment about how the BBC was less biased, and we started discussing BBC vs CNN vs Fox. He agreed that BBC was less biased (he isn't stupid) but liked the style of the CNN reports, which is fair enough. But how biased is CNN, and in what direction? We live in England, so I've barely watched any of their stuff (he watched the program he mentioned in Tunisia) so if any Americans that have more experience with the channel would care to help, that would be cool. I did check wikipedia but it didn't seem to say anything useful.
every news channel is biased towards something, it's your job as a free citizen to not believe it all
every news channel is biased, it's your job as a free citizen to not believe it all
Well duh. But compared to others.
They're just as biased as any news corporation in any country, except Fox.
They all do it for ratings, they don't give a chickenshit about you.
CNN tries to be hip and modern to a younger liberal crowd. (Twitter, facebook...)
Fox News lies to old conservative business men and concerned mothers
BBC hates America so they report the truth.
Also Fox News Alert!

what he said, except us Americans have more news sources to watch from. Not that single newstation thats taxpayer supported which all of you are led to believe is "unbiased".
idk how stupid/biased is cnn this is a quiz rite?
BBC is just a biased as other news corporations, even if they are in the UK.
For fucks sake, just because they're in the UK, they're the bestest news corp ever and ever?!
EDIT: I don't even watch network news, and local news is only for the weather.
BBC aims to be unbiased but is actually pretty liberal
All new media is bias, specially corporate media.
Is your job as a educated person to look at all points of view and decided for yourself.
just because they're in the UK, they're the bestest news corp ever and ever?!
They pretty much are, though

At least the BBC isn't owned by the antichrist
watch Bape News Network for my un biased opinions.

There are loads of papers and websites to choose from, but the BBC is recognised world wide as one of the most unbiased news sources. Of course it isn't completely unbiased; that's nigh on impossible, but it's about as close as we can realistically get.
All channels are owned by someone which attributes to their bias. Rupert Murdoch owns Newscorp (Wallstreet Journal, Fox News, Sky News) which leaks his Conservative views. Even though Glenn Beck lost almost all of his advertisers, they kept him on the air in order to fulfill their agenda.

Meh, from what I've seen, they're not special.
Nothing is perfectly unbiased, and nothing ever will, don't act like BBC is.
Also the BBC isn't really a corporation in the same way as Fox or whatever; they still get the money whether you watch them or not, so they won't air controversial opinions for the ratings.
If you want unbiased news, witness it yourself.
EDIT: No, Negrul2, that doesn't mean they aren't biased. That's like saying even though someone gets payed money for working, they won't do extra to get a raise.

I didn't say they were perfect, they do lean to the left slightly
But the BBC is a quality news source, as far as being factual and expansive goes
If you want unbiased news, witness it yourself.
Yeah because that's totally possible.

Glenn Beck is Libertarian. I guess he just hates Liberals more than Conservatives.
CNN leans to the left and Fox leans to the right.
I would trust BBC over any major American news network any day.

They are considered to be very unbiased . They have no reason to otherwise since their money comes from TV license fees, not from advertisements and ratings.
No one mentioned anything about it being because they're based in the UK. Here in the UK we have tabloid newspapers so biased they make Fox look like a scientific journal.

If you want unbiased news watch multiple sources and compose your own logical idea of what the fuck is going on.

It will add to the general unbiasedness, but you are right to an extent.
CNN leans to the left and Fox does a barrel roll to the right.
Fixed.
A perfectly unbiased news channel would be boring as shit.
Glenn Beck is Libertarian. I guess he just hates Liberals more than Conservatives.
He's not really a libertarian. He's a fail conservative.
Gather your own research, find out what's really true.
Fixed.
I see what you did there.
