Hillary Clinton's final campaign for office ended in a shocking defeat. But she isn't going quietly into the night.
"I think the country's at risk, and I'm trying to sound the alarm so more people will at least pay attention," Clinton told NPR.
That said, her career as a candidate is over.
"I'm done. I'm not running for office," Clinton said. But for those, including Democrats, who would like her to just go away? "Well, they're going to be disappointed," she said.
"I'm not going anywhere. I have the experience, I have the insight, I have the scars that I think give me not only the right, but the responsibility to speak out," Clinton said.

"I take ultimate responsibility for the loss," Clinton said. "I was the candidate. I was the person whose name was on the ballot. And I'll never get over that."
There was the private email server she used for official business while secretary of state, a cloud that hung over her campaign from start to finish.
"It was a dumb mistake. I think it was a dumber scandal, but it hurt," she said.
She also describes an inability to connect with the anger coursing through the electorate.
"I understood there was anger and fear and people were really unhappy because of what had happened in the financial crash. I understood all of that," Clinton said. "What I didn't — and I say this in the book — I didn't really do well is conveying how much I understood of that, conveying how I got the despair and the anger."
Clinton had plans — so many plans — for combating the opioid crisis, for helping people in coal country, for creating jobs through infrastructure spending and more.
"I talked about it, but I didn't really convey the emotional resonance," she said.
Well, colour me surprised, I did not expect her to admit this.

Very surprised, didn't she blame Sanders few weeks ago?
She's so out of touch its stupifying.

Did she though, or is this just talking out her ass?
I can not remember once her bringing up any of these issues to be honest.
The more she is in view with the democrats the worse it is for them at this point.
Nah go away too please

The media has gotten so bad at discussing actual policy, I'm not surprised you don't remember.
No, please just fade away into obscurity already so we can get on with our lives and try to clean up the catastrophic mess you've made. Thanks.
Mentioning something once or twice on the campaign trail doesn't send the message that you care much about the issue.

She likes to say this for the reporters, but then go out on tour in states she never visited during the campaign to talk about her new book wherein she blames Bernie Sanders for fracturing the party and causing irreparable damage, among other things.
I think if Hillary truly understood and accepted the magnitude of her own personal failure, she would just remain where she is and seethe quietly like the rest of us.

In a way she's right, Sanders probably did cost her the election. But it's like blaming the witness for exposing your crime. All he did was being a better canditate, which exposed just how freaking bad she is, and that was probably a very big factor to her loss.
With that said it still sources up to her, if she wasn't a shit candidate maybe she'd have won?

Sanders didn't cost her the election. She would have lost anyway, because all of her weaknesses played to Donald Trump's strengths. It's not as if Trump wouldn't have thought to bring up her big donors, Wall Street speeches, etc. if Sanders hadn't brought them to the forefront. Trump is a master of slander. And the nail in her coffin, i.e the October Surprise that was the Comey letter, didn't even come from either Sanders or Trump.
This article was published in February 2016. It breaks down why Clinton's loss to Trump was inevitable, months before she actually lost. Read it and tell me if you still think Sanders is in any way responsible for Trump's victory.
"It was a dumb mistake"
yes it was now go away
Hey Sarah Palin still has a place in American politics so I don't see why Clinton can't stay.

if sanders didn't exist hillary still would've lost
[editline]12th September 2017[/editline]
without sanders forcing her to go the least bit left she probably would've lost even harder
This fucking idiot doesn't realise she's her own worse enemy lmao
Pull out a can of raid
I can't remember a politician that's been so vilified after a loss.
I hope the Justice Democrats make sure her and people like her never get elected again, they don't learn and only give a fuck about their corporate donors
The way she words it makes it seem it's just PR talk, I doubt she or the heads of the Dem party learned anything with their loss, in the end anything Clinton does will just harm their reputation even more
Clinton's continued shit flinging after the election proves that she learned nothing from her defeat. Rather than accepting the many crushing mistakes she made when she ran, she's pointing the finger at everybody else.

Completely insincere. She has been extremely vocal about how much she blames everybody else for her loss. Verrit media, which she personally endorsed, just recently wrote a lengthy and heavily critical article about why Bernie voters are the Real Evil in America for undermining Dear Hillary and "handing" the election to Trump.
I always wonder what it'd be like if Hillary had the same charisma as Bill.
I always wonder what it'd be like if Hillary had the same charisma as Bill.
It was her lack of political competency that were her downfall.
Being charismatic can't save your ass when you make chains of dumb decisions and statements.

Did she really just call Sanders supporters 'divisive'? SANDERS supporters?
Sanders unified not only his own people but members of the opposite party who were tired of establishment candidates and wanted someone who cared about America before anything else. Clinton was the divisive one. Fuck her.
Bernie Sanders clearly articulated his positions in a way everyone could understand. Hilary Clinton didn't appeal to the masses I think. The DNC thought she was good maybe because she would have been a good President, but ultimately did not appeal to the people.

I feel like Clinton muddied up whatever good message she had with too many qualifiers. Like affordable access to healthcare rather than healthcare for all.
"She will be the Democratic nominee for president and I intend to do everything I can to make certain she will be the next president of the United States," Sanders said. It's annoying how she is still trying to downplay the whole thing through lies, and that she keeps saying it was a mistake. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2016/jul/05/fbi-investigation-undermines-clinton-email-defense/

The whole email thing was a transparent attempt to assassinate Clinton's character which worked. Some of Trump's administration have even been caught using private email servers, the exact same thing that Clinton did.
