Beard trend is 'guided by evolution' The more beards there are, the less attractive they become - giving clean-shaven men a competitive advantage, say scientists in Sydney, Australia. Good.
Lies Rating the OP useful, because the scientists are a bunch of women (User was banned for this post ("this isn't /r/mensrights" - dai))
No more beard rash plz
When Greece's economy tanked - did beards take off? That's something we're going to look at.
Scientists asking the hard questions
I assume this goes for all body hair, except hair?
I think that's the effect of anything that becomes remotely popular.
Well then fuck evolution I say
17 and can't grow a beard. I guess I have an advantage(?)
I kinda stopped bothering with regular shaving when I realized that futile attempts to not to look terrible depress me more than the effect of actually looking terrible.
17 and can't grow a beard. I guess I have an advantage(?)
Every man over 18 on my mother's side of the family has a beard. I joined them when I hit 18, I already had a good amount of beard. Why? The idea though is that I enjoy a beard, I don't grow one to look cool, I don't grow one to look out of the ordinary. I enjoy a beard and I keep a well maintained beard, and that's what I enjoy, fuck everyone's opinion on said matter concerning me.
If I didn't have to shave for my job I would probably have a pretty noteworthy beard by now.
What's with the beard hate? Beards are cool. Tasteful beards I mean, none of that neck beard shit.
17 and can't grow a beard. I guess I have an advantage(?)
Give it some time, you might be a late bloomer.
It sounds like those losers in Australia can't grow a beard for shit.
17 and can't grow a beard. I guess I have an advantage(?)
Until beards come back again.
"If you cant grow good facial hair dont grow any at all"
They are just jealous, the longer/bigger your fucking manly viking beard is the more of a man you are It pains me every day that I can't grow a beard yet
So wait, we're genetically programmed to find things less appealing the more popular they are? By this idea, aren't hipsters the ultimate human beings? Well, we had a pretty good run guys. 100000 years isn't too bad.
It sounds like those losers in Australia can't grow a beard for shit.
Guilty. :suicide:
I often don't shave out of sheer laziness, which is immediately reversed when the beard grows enough that I see it to be a neckbeard + paedostache combo. Then I exterminate the fuck out of it, and the cycle repeats. What I need is the reverse of Nair, or a face that doesn't need part of it to be obscured with facial hair to look less repulsive.
Well-kept bears look awesome though
I hate having to shave. Facial hair is a nuisance.
Well-kept bears look awesome though
???
17 and can't grow a beard. I guess I have an advantage(?)
I wouldn't really consider not having enough testosterone for facial hair an "advantage".
Well-kept bears look awesome though
True story, we do.

Well, we had a pretty good run guys. 100000 years isn't too bad.
Taking a shot in the dark here, but I'd wager its because people are more interested in things that aren't seen so often. One clean shaven dude out of a bunch of viking beards will draw attention. Whether or not that attention is good or bad is up in the air.The same can be said vice-versa, bearded/shaven comparison. You stand out from the crowd when you're different. If anything, I don't believe this is biological evolution but more societal evolution. I'm not a biologist or a sociologist, so take that with a grain of salt. I can't grow a good beard to save my life so I'm doomed to shave. :c
Does that mean chest hair could come back into fashion? Please! Can that happen!
That's fine. Beards only look good on certain people. Too many people have them, imo, and it's rare it fits them. I don't shave as much as I should but I do prefer to be clean-shaven.
