Farmers, food sector workers, fishermen, and others attended the protest, voicing concern over continuous layoffs and high taxes in the country. Some demonstrators reportedly threw stones and iron bars at police as they gathered for speeches before marching into the city. Officers responded by firing tear gas and water cannons. According to authorities, 10,000 people came out for the event. However, a protest organizer told French media that 30,000 people took part in the rally. French protesters wore red caps resembling the 17th century revolt against King Louis XIV’s fiscal policies. "Well I've seen travelin' many ways I've traveled in cars and old subways But in Birmingham some people chose To fly down the street from a fire hose Doin' some hard travelin' From hydrants of plenty "
the music in the background on some parts just make it seem like a really cool party with fog emitters and scenes of minor altercations involving random people attending the party.
There is a riot like every weekend in France, is it a national past time or something?
There is a riot like every weekend in France, is it a national past time or something?
You tell me. [t]http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f124/mretaoin/bastille-stormed.jpg[/t]
The Ecotax sounds absolutely horrible. Not only does it hurt companies in France, but it also hurts consumers who buy goods. It's really just a bad deal for everyone but the government.

At least they are trying to achieve something unlike other countries with their apathy
That tax does sound bad to be honest.
That tax does sound bad to be honest.
They're stuck between a rock and a hard place, no pleasant solution that actually works.
Second French revolution anyone?
Second French revolution anyone?
Second? There have been dozens of French revolutions since the 1790's
There is a riot like every weekend in France, is it a national past time or something?
It's their national sport.
It's their national sport.
"and for this weeks game we have returning champions the Bourgeoisie in the blue corner, and in the red corner, we have the Proletariat, brace yourselves folks, this one's looking like it's going to be one for the ages!"
That tax does sound bad to be honest.
Why couldn't more Americans be like you around the 1760's
Why couldn't more Americans be like you around the 1760's
Corruption.
bet you nothing gets done because of this, i mean over here when people protest they at least get a cursery amendment to a bill that might make things better or do nothing at all, over there its like they can kick the fence and break the windows all they want, but nothing really gets accomplished, thats why they protest so damn much
French Socialists are pretty hilarious. They do all the worst leftist policy without even fulfilling the ideological goal of better income equality and an empowered people.
