I heard it's pretty not fun, unfortunately. Totalbiscuit made a video on it which apparently put a lot of people off
It is infact fun, but it suffers balance problems early game, being very difficult until you get to level 10 or so. It also suffers the problem if there are some extremely lame monster/room combos that make certain castles practically impossible to beat, which is why every so often you come across a castle that has like 10,000 people dead in it.
you can apparently buy EVERYTHING for real money.
you can apparently buy EVERYTHING for real money.
You can, but they recently nerfed the shop where you can buy gear for either gold earned in-game or for cash money, before it was insanely powerful gear for your level and now its just moderately powerful. Its easy enough to earn the gold to buy it as well. The only other thing you can buy with real money is instant buildings for your castle, which is pointless because you still need to earn the currency to summon monsters by attacking other castles.
I heard it's pretty not fun, unfortunately. Totalbiscuit made a video on it which apparently put a lot of people off
It wasn't about the fun, it was about bling being used to get EVERYTHING. Otherwise he thought it was still an enjoyable experience. Also, if some of you do get keys during the event and you're up to level. Go look me up, "Happymartin".
Don't half the classes plateau at level 10 and the other half blow until level 10?
Well there are only two classes right now, three if you buy the more expensive pack to get the other. Ranger is very powerful early on, starts to plateau around 13-15 Warrior is weaker early on, but he gets a lot more powerful around 10 when you get the attack that heals you for a % of your max HP.
Don't forget that hook.
the mighty quest for epic microtransactions
Do you people not read the news or something? They're changing the horrible pay-to-win model to cosmetics.
I played it last time, it got boring FAST !
Do you people not read the news or something? They're changing the horrible pay-to-win model to cosmetics.
Exactly. Hoping it will improve the game since it does look like a lot of fun.
Do you people not read the news or something? They're changing the horrible pay-to-win model to cosmetics.
Hopefully good cosmetics.
Do you people not read the news or something? They're changing the horrible pay-to-win model to cosmetics.
It's Ubisoft. You want to take a wager on how long that's going to last? Or has everyone forgotten the last 5 years all of a sudden?
Reminds me of this mobile game called Clash of Clans.
Played a bit in alpha. Castle designing is fuckall boring. It needs some depth. Just like TB mentioned in his video, yes I can design a castle physically, but I want to decorate the bitch or something, it's just too boring as is. I want sims-like abilities to buy shit and spoof up my castle.
Wasn't able to try it, I started up the launcher and it basically just told me my computer wasn't good enough :v:
It's Ubisoft. You want to take a wager on how long that's going to last? Or has everyone forgotten the last 5 years all of a sudden?
Why are you holding the past of a game company? The game is fun, they're listening to us and changing things for the better. Don't be an asshole going "LEWK WHAT THEY DID FIVE YEARS AGO, DONUT TRUST DEM >:CCCC".
I heard it's pretty not fun, unfortunately. Totalbiscuit made a video on it which apparently put a lot of people off
It's fine. It's not out yet. the only real actual issue with the game is the loot drops part is bland. The Pay2Win has already been reverted, and it looks as though they'll stick to making most of the Pay stuff cosmetics. Don't underestimate Ubisoft this time. They are on the ball lately
Been playing for a couple days now, lvl9 knight, lvl7 castle. My castle kicks ass right now, only a couple of players have been able to beat it. Do crowns do anything or is it just an e-peen extension? [editline]31st July 2013[/editline] IGN is Vurucore if anyone wants to friends.

Don't be an asshole going "LEWK WHAT THEY DID FIVE YEARS AGO, DONUT TRUST DEM >:CCCC".
Why wouldn't I? Fun game or not, Ubisoft has constantly tried to get away with every bit of corner cutting and gouging that they can. Until they haven't been doing that for a few years, I don't see why caution isn't reasonable. The game has potential (bit repetitive and dull last I knew), but the fact that that pay to win crap even went live in the first place should have raised a few alarms. [editline]30th July 2013[/editline]
It's fine. There aren't even skins to go for unfortunately last I knew. They really need to up the actual loot.
The servers are down for maintenance right now on The Might Quest for Epic Loot. :(
