Right I got a Zenit 12XP and there is a yellow mark in the viewfinder so I had the idea to swap the pentaprism with one from a zenit 11. So this thread will be updated with my progress
Here is the problem

Now I'm at a point where I can't break it down any further without actual tools.

[del]That looks like a fatality.[/del]
Ohhhh that's the parts body. Got it. Ignore me.
I've just came up with a new theory on whats wrong with the pentaprism in the 12. The body seems to have took a bloody strong hit to the top to dint the top of it.
Just ordered a new set of screwdrivers off of ebay. Once they arrive I'll properly get to breaking down and fixing the zenits.
Right Screwdrivers have arrived, back to breaking down the 11.
Will be back with more pictures after the tops off.

Gonna be cool to see the guts of my camera though, be careful re-assembling.
Ok I have hit something I'm going to call, well made. The bloody film advance screwy thingy is impossible to get off the 11...
Resorting to tearing the top off.
Right I never took any pictures last night so here are some from now

No prism

OK I forgot I had to take the film advance lever off the 12 so I'm stuck... Again
Before I went camping on friday I managed to lose a tiny spring from the shutter speed selector-y thingy
But a plus side, Two D386 batterys arrived in the post and the exposure meter works
OK I think I'm just going to stop trying soon and just get another.
Unless someone has a spare shutter speed dial off a zenit 11, 12 or ttl

Hi, sorry for reviving an old thread but I didn't find any repair manual for the Zenit 12xp, my problem is simple but without knowing anything I'm lost, the iso wheel was stuck then when I tried to turn it it get loose and is impossible to know where it was, I just want to put it in the right place like in 100 iso and glue it if I must but the internal wheel moved so I don't know whwhere to begin, thanks for the help
