It was my closest friend's favorite song. She died 2 months ago in a car wreck. (User was banned for this post ("Post Your" - Perfumly))
^ Can never listen to that song again. It's been permanently associated with someone who I'd rather forget forever. ^ You can guess for yourself. ^ Really makes me feel stronger about anything negative going on in my life at any given moment. Doesn't work ALL the time but most of the time it really gets me motivated and to feel a lot more hopeful and determined about things.
Reminds me of that one sad episode of Futurama :frown:
All I Need - Radiohead Sums up perfectly one of my biggest personality flaws, and how I need to quit that shit. Also, it's rad as fuck and the climax is one of the sexiest things I've ever heard.
^- Reminds me of my dogs, who died :(.
Birdland- Weather Report Because it brings back memories from years ago. and Same reasoning as Birdland, different memories. Also, my college application essay was based off an extended metaphor comparing this song to general complexity. And it worked.
Reminds me of that one sad episode of Futurama :frown:
BEST EPISODE OF ANYTHING EVAR small
Roulette - System Of A Down :crying: I don't know why but this song gets at my heart. Awesome song to play when friends are over.
Reminds me of a good friend that died.
lol, no... but miley is smokin
Chilllll Moving to me, especially the first part Love the beginning especially. I tried to make it loop forever from the first lyric to right before the drums come in. Didn't work :( A bunch of shit by Circa Survive.
Gabriel Knight theme. It's just a powerful piece of music, not of sentimental value to me or anything.
Showbiz - Muse These Walls - Dream Theater Never Enough - Dream Theater Welcome Home (Sanitarium) - Metallica Solitary Shell - Dream Theater Love You To Death - Kamelot The Ruiner - Nine Inch Nails I could pick a metric fuckton more songs, especially by NIN and Dream Theater, but I don't feel like consuming the whole thread.
I can't listen to NIN because it takes me back to my angsty/depressed stage in life. When I first got into Coil I went into a huge slump. Absolutely nothing made sense in my life and I convinced myself I was crazy. I find it hard to listen to some songs of theirs. Some songs by Stars of the Lid remind me of a specific point in my life where I was with many people I wish I still regularly talked to.
I usually listen to it on repeat during the more depressing parts of my life. Helps me a lot.
I don't have songs with special meanings to me, really. I suppose Paramore and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers makes me a bit nostalgic. That's it.
Beautiful Tonight - Eric Clapton Reminds me of when I didn't ask her to dance :crying: :saddowns:
My grandfather had this played at his funeral; He was cremated too, which makes it even more badass. Since he died I've actually got really into fifties rock and roll. It's a shame really, wish I had done earlier, so I could have talked to him about it.

Fade to Black always hits me when I listen to it :/ I don't really have any songs associated with anything in particular, except from Can I Play With Madness? by Iron Maiden. View YouTUBE video http://youtube.com/watch?v=ocFxQjPeyiY Why? It was the first Iron Maiden song I'd ever heard, and the first metal song I'd heard in my life. I was like.. 7 or 8, maybe younger. I just fell in love with the song, and it's the song that turned me to metal and rock forever. It will always have a place in my heart :patriot: It doesn't really compare to others in this thread, but as far as I know there's no song I associate with anything real and personal.
R.I.P. 2pac, GOOD rap died with him, save for the few living rappers of that era.
This song is my favorite song of all time, it encompasses everything I love about music. got me through a hard time
this is just the sadest song ive ever heard http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SmVAWKfJ4Go&feature=related

This song is too nostalgic for words. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RTWzsGO4Zc :'(
