(NECN: Searchlight, Nev.) - The 'Tea Party Express' rolled through Searchlight on Saturday, where a rally was held in Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's (D-Nev.) hometown.
Former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin (R) was the main draw of the event, with American and Alabama state flags flying behind her as she delivered remarks on the outdoor stage in the Nevada desert.
Palin asked those in attendance to be ready to ask Sen. Reid questions when he returned home to promote the health care reform bill, which was signed into law last week, and other bills passed under the Obama administration. Questions like, "When does early voting begin and who else is running for his seat?"
With a Democratic majority in both the House and Senate, and President Barack Obama in the White House, it has been a rough go of it for Republicans in Washington. Palin equated "common sense" Conservatives to an endangered species in the nation's capital.
She also opined that "the Obama, Pelosi, Reid gang" is going about solving the nation's economic problems in the wrong way. And she said the mid-term elections are the best place to tell the federal government of a citizen's displeasure with the policies enacted over the first two years of the Obama administration.
"In these upcoming elections we're saying that the big government, big debt Obama, Pelosi, Reid spending spree is over. You're fired," Palin said. "We're not going to sit down and shut up."
The podium behind which Palin stood read "Tea Party Express III, Just Vote Them Out!" "Them" being the Democrats serving in Washington.
Hopey, Changey
Her remarks focused mainly on Sen. Reid, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and President Obama, the latter of whom was the opponent of the McCain-Palin ticket in the 2008 presidential campaign. Palin beckoned to two familiar phrases from the Obama-Biden campaign.
"That bumper sticker that maybe you'll see on the next Subaru driving by -- an Obama bumper sticker -- you should stop the driver and say, 'So how is that hopey, changey thing working out for ya?'" Palin said, poking at two words closely tied to Mr. Obama's 2008 presidential campaign, "hope" and "change."
She did clarify her remark so as to not offend Subaru owners: "I shouldn't be disrespectful; I don't have anything against Subarus."
Palin has in the past used that "hopey, changey" line at Tea Party events.

:wtc:
You know what they say about Sarah Palin:
The difference between her mouth and vagina is that only 1/5 of the things that come out of her vagina are retarded.
It's kind of funny that she mentioned Subarus, since our neighbors and us have 4 Subarus in total - they all have Obama '08 stickers.
Well the healthcare thing would be going a lot better if the Republicans weren't so goddamn stubborn.
you read that in 4 minutes?
yes, im a internet stalker.
I'm a fast reader, or Mr. Someguy is a fast reader?
Palin is fucking stupid.

And that's why people think it's okay to run people with Obama bumper stickers off the road.
Palin should be charged with inciting violence.

Both.

It's like your baking cookies and your friend steals all the sugar and the chocolate chips, then complains the cookies don't taste good enough

Actually, yes I did.
It's like your baking cookies and your friend steals all the sugar and the chocolate chips, then complains the cookies don't taste good enough
I'm totally stealing that simile.
Why won't that stupid bitch just go back to Alaska...
Related, why do the GOP and their supporters hate Pelosi so much? She may be Speaker, but she still only has the one vote in Congress, she doesn't really make policy by herself. I hate to play this card, but I don't see a concrete reason they throw so much hate at her besides the mere fact that she's the first female Speaker.

Mmm food.
seems to be working out fine doesn't it? I mean the rest of the world likes you alot better now, and you're coming closer to the first world so I'd say that's change
[editline]06:15PM[/editline]
so how's your 2012 campaign working out Palin?
What's sad is that there are a lot of people out there who really like her.
But it's ok. I lost my faith in humanity years ago.

Also a lot of people who really like Glenn Beck.
Also a lot of people who really like Glenn Beck.
i remember the first time I saw glen beck. I was at a house on holidays and they had cable (im from Australia), so I saw it and thought it was some satrical show like Colbert.
then I found out alot of people actually watch this show :|
Palin is fucking stupid.
Conservative and agreeing
As most do, not that many conservatives like Palin.

Not really. Most, if not all of her fans from the '08 election have lost all care for Palin in the past few months.
Whatever happened to the embezzlement charges against her? I thought she rerouted cash for Alaska to pay for her kids to fly first class during the 2008 campaign.

It's because she supposedly has so much sway over the house. According to the conservatives anything she says automatically gets voted yes by all democrats everywhere in the country.
Either way, I'd still do her even though she is probably a horrible cook, and is semi retarded.
hahaha
oh wow
my mispelling, by first world I meant like.. the REST of the first world. Like the people who use the metric system
It sounds like Sarah Plain was feeling bitchey.
Oh Sarah, you've outlasted yer welcome here. Quit making such a commotion over spilt milk...
Pull over a Palin supporter, ask "So what did she do this time?"

That's ok Mrs. Palin, I don't have anything against you, or your down-syndromed, whiskey tango, mutant prodigy either. Or the fact that you have to be the bitchiest politician I've ever heard. You are the equivalent to a 24-hour PMS birthing machine that's defective. "I shouldn't be disrespectful", you're talking about a fucking car! Did you not have one of those in Alaska? Or was it the Moose you took to work? Maybe that's why you complain! I'm sure the saddle that dug into your ass daily really left a permanent uncomfortable feeling didn't it?
Ok, I'm done.
For now.
I'm just making an observation here, but you never really hear about democrats doing stupid shit like this. Or atheists. Or pro-choice people. Or non-homophobes.

They still do. Most of us get our news from left wing biased sources, so obviously we're never going to hear them and we're never going to hear the end of any right-wingers doing it. It's all about perspective really.
