UK weather: Britain to sizzle in three-month heatwave with temperatures reaching 28C

note; Every time there's a thread about heatwaves in the UK, everyone seems to think that 28c (82f) isn't that hot, but when you live somewhere where it's cold all the time, temperatures like 30c is very hot for the people enduring it.
So lets maybe not start a debate about temperature adaptation or how 30c isn't that bad, pretty please?
Temperatures are expected to soar and 2015 could bring the country's hottest ever spring and summer.
Britain will be hotter than Bondi Beach as spring gets even warmer with a five-day sizzler from Monday - breaking the record for the hottest day of the year.
From Wednesday the Met Office expects temperatures to reach 23C and also predicts highs of 28C arriving earlier than usual.
Awwww yiss. About time we had a decent summer.
I'm gonna die
I remember last august checking the thermometer at 3 am and it reading 92 degrees. I can't imagine living in a place where 82 degrees is considered dangerously hot
It's the Mirror, but still, I fucking can't wait.
hold up, isn't a "3 month heatwave" just summer?
Summer for the UK is technically a heatwave
It's always weird how New Zealand's weather is the exact polar (no pun intended) opposite of Britain's at any given time.
Last year (I think) when there was severe flooding in British news, a heatwave and a drought came to NZ within the week.
Now Britain's having another heatwave and a cold-ass rainstorm's swept my city on the very same day.

These are British tabloids, 'summer will arrive as scheduled' isn't as dramatic
Opening my curtains was like when you walk out of the the Vault in Fallout 3 for the first time.
I had ice all over my car this morning. Where's my heatwave, Mirror?!
Awwww yiss. About time we had a decent summer.
That last few summers we've have had been dreadfully hot.
Honestly, even this spring has been far too warm. Britain used to be about torrential rain, now it's like I've moved to Spain or something, it's terrible.
I can't wait for those yanks to start complaining.
This is a different kind of heat I'm telling you, one that tries to kill us
3 months of hot weather?
More like 3 months of rain glorious rain.
The Mirror posts an article about extreme long term weather every few months and it's almost never correct. They claimed last winter it was going to be one of the harshest we've ever seen and it snowed like twice here. I'll believe it when I see it.
Makes a change at least. For the last six months the headlines have been 'Winter is Coming'
I'll take it seriously when it happens or is predicted by people who aren't wrong all the time.
The mirror posts clickbait weather articles at least twice a year predicting heatwaves and the worst winters since records began.

Worth it, 13c > 25c in auckland anyday
In all of the hot countries I've been to most places have decent AC, and are built with the temperate in mind. Here (or in London at least) very few places have AC, public transport becomes unbearable in the heat and there's little you can do to cool down.
My flat has massive windows and glass on all 4 sides of the house, its heats up like a greenhouse and there's nothing we can do to cool it. Can't really sleep when it gets hot :(
To be fair, every year we have 1-2 weeks during the summer where the temperature is over 30c-32c. It's just the rest of the time it's hanging at low 20s, so it feels incredibly hot and you die on public transport

Whao hey now, we had yer 30c last year, gimmie a godamn long winter with snow already.
This winter was already too warm for me. I'm fucking dead.
We'll see.
One time in my hometown in California, it went from 0c to ~40c in the matter of hours, and the opposite occurred one time in June, 41c to -4c or so, and it started snowing. Both times, the gym teachers were not pleased. Neither was the principal when we had a pep rally for next year that day.
Heat waves, on the other hand, are just nothing to fuck with. Combined with drought and fire, they can make some very bad times for people.

Just do what bear grylls does and tie a piss rag over your head to stay cool.
Piss rags are hip this year.
Was bright and sunny outside when I woke up this morning, thought 'oh god going to melt today'.
The happiness I felt when it was still a nice 9 degrees celcius (49f).

Why do you think this is interesting, because we get a 3 month summer for once.
Aw yiiiish, for like 30 euro i can fly to the UK and back so that means a weekend trip to the UK once its nice and hot there.
Damn that sounds hot
