• The Real Story Behind That Leaked Deadpool Footage
Blur's proof of concept footage, starring Ryan Reynolds, was leaked by hackers, NOT the studios. Update 2: Fox did not respond to our request for comment, however their lawyers did respond to us posting the video. We have now taken it off the articles. Update: Tim Miller, co-founder of Blur and director on Deadpool responded to us via email, stating that he's unable to discuss the issue. Original Story: One of the biggest bits of news that's hit comic book fans in the immediate post Comic-Con rush had nothing to do with anything actually shown in the infamous Hall H, or anywhere on the show floor for that matter. It was two minutes of the most awesome shaky phone camera videos ever leaked to 'net. The video showed what claimed to be early CGI test footage of Fox's long-delayed feature film starring Marvel's Merc with a Mouth, Deadpool, featuring voiceover work by Ryan Reynolds. As fast as the footage was being posted, it was being removed by the powers that be at Fox. Then, on Tuesday, a new higher definition version of the clip started making the rounds. The video opens with Deadpool rocking to the beats of Gwen Stefani and breaking the fourth wall, before diving from an overpass into a moving SUV via the sunroof. What followed was one of the coolest close combat fights ever, filled with Deadpool's (and Reynolds') signature smart ass personality. It was a sight to behold ... if you could find it. I really don't think it was released by hackers, but a disgruntled Fox Employee who was trying to make a point to the higher up Fox Executives that there is a demand for a Deadpool movie. Unfortunately, Fox doesn't understand that pulling the video as much as possible isn't a way to win over a community. I really wish all the movie rights would just revert back to Marvel since they seem to understand their franchises.
If they're trying to pull this down they're even more stupid than i already thought they were......can't they see people wanted to see this and people seeing it is only a good thing?
trying to pull a video like that off the internet is literally the most pointless thing ever

off topic how come we haven't had a DOOM record was it that Security tight or something.
i've always been convinced that a decent percentage of the time a piece of media is leaked like this that its actually done intentionally to test the waters and determine public approval or disapproval, or at least to increase public awareness of an upcoming project or something
arent fox going to do an x-force movie anyway? if they do, then that might be the reason why they're not investing in a standalone deadpool movie (for those that don't know, deadpool is a member of the x-force)
There's probably a legal reason they're pulling this from everywhere they can, like they're not allowed to use Gwen Stefani music or something silly like that.

They'd make it some generic capeshit movie and shoehorn the Marvel Universe into it. I'm happy the way things are.
What.
Compare X-Men, X2, Days of Future Past or First Class with the average Marvel movie. They're doing something unique and if Marvel had their way with it, it'd be a means to an end to have another after credit teaser to get to The Avengers 3 and nothing more. The X-Men movies are movies with stories worth telling first and comic book adaptations second. I can not say the same about the Marvel films with a straight face.
when will the hacking stop..
-snip- wrong thread.

Yea I've got to agree, X2 and X3 were kinda shite. DoFP was only good because it [sp]retcon'd the shit on X3[/sp] I much prefer the Avengers universe films more.

I mean i love the X-Men movies, barring X3 and Origins, but fuck me if they get a lot of shit about the X-Men wrong and misrepresent some of the characters to fuck, and the only real reason they feel different is because of the different team behind it. That and they, except for Beast in First Class and Magneto in DOFP, dont even have anything resembling their comic outfits, its just black leather uniforms or street clothing.
generic capeshit movie
Explain to me IN DETAIL how the films Iron Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, are generic. I want to hear this.
