We can say what we want when we want it. Except if it's criticizing the country that is our only chance of surviving without the EU.
What's with the recent trend of "person does not do a thing" articles? Not trying to be aggressive OP I think you're a great poster I'm just genuinesly confused. Reporting on people not doing things just seems entirely antithetical to what journalism is all about.

It's time for a no confidence vote in Parliament, I think.
I guess it's notable because condemning this ban is what a decent person would do.
This wasn't going to happen, considering May's own stance on Immigration which got her catapulted into power in the first place.
Spineless coward, just because she don't want to anger Donald because he can pull the trigger on our "relationship" I say relationship, we might as well be Americas fucking pet at this point.
Spineless bitch.
Remember when prominent politicians/leaders called Trump out on his bullshit? Funny how that's changed.
Remember when prominent politicians/leaders called Trump out on his bullshit? Funny how that's changed.
May wasn't going to call him out imo, despite her claims in the news to the contrary, especially not on something she's known to support in her own way. Both May and Trump see eye to eye on this subject and wouldn't consider it a done thing to criticize one another on this and similar topics. If it were something different I could see May trying to score points by adding her two cents, but not on the subject of immigration.
Turkey also denies the Armenian Genocide. Who cares what Turkey says? They have the worst leader Erdogan and they have done a lot of nasty stuff in the last few month and years.
What a fuckin spineless cunt. GG please welcome Britain as America's and Russia's newest vassal
Not really much of a surprise given she feels the same way Trump does on the issue. She'd probably endorse it if it wasn't political suicide.

I also imagine Brexit has a big part of this. If Britain is becoming less attached to Europe it's only natural that they would return to an Anglosphere focus and talking shit about her American counterparts biggest foreign policy promise (I was going to write achievement but that felt wrong somehow) wouldn't help that.

Whatever. I don't want to burn bridges with the UK, especially with me having friends there, but growing closer to Europe is a good thing to me.
May is not my favourite choice but she isn't trump. Considering how important good relations are with America it would be suicidal to try and distance ourselves. Pretending that another politician/party wouldn't have done it in her shoes is just being silly, and if they did it would only lead to bad things for us.
Theresa May does "not agree" with Donald Trump's refugee ban and will appeal to the US if it affects British citizens, Downing Street has said. The prime minister was criticised for refusing to condemn President Trump's executive order on Saturday.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38786576
Dammit, ninja'd. But it goes to show we shouldn't speak too soon.

The PM herself couldn't come out and say it. Had to do it through a spokesperson. What a sad small woman she is.

Have some backbone you spineless un-elected whim.
lots of spineless populist leaders nowadays...
The BBC sums it up well. "Before all the hand holding and pally smiles, Theresa May promised the world she would not be afraid to tell Donald Trump what she thought when she disagreed with him. It didn't take long for her to stumble at the first hurdle."
This is like Chamberlain's failed "appeasement" of Hitler :frown:
I wouldn't condemn it either, I wouldn't agree with it and state my concern, but unless its going to really fuck around with my citizens, then I wouldn't go near it.
At least EU members can talk shit about their daddy-state 24/7 :v: [editline]29th January 2017[/editline] On a side note, I always see "spineless x" anytime anything ever happens, even if it's arguably the exact opposite, as in bold (if also dumb). Not necessarily talking about this scenario, although you could argue about it People just love throwing that word around, like a convinient all-in-one insult
I wouldn't condemn it either, I wouldn't agree with it and state my concern, but unless its going to really fuck around with my citizens, then I wouldn't go near it.
Its already affected UK nationals, people are being refused onto flights that involve stopping or transferring in US airports if they also use a Iranian passport.
