Why is crappy metal so popular?

For the past 20 years music has been dying. And it's mostly nirvana and ice ice baby's fault. But then there is you guys, you sit here and you listen to shitty bands like megadeth and syndrom of a downs and you all have this conglomorate circle jerk. Here are some lyrics from metalica,

Why is this good? Why would you listen to this crap? This music is the white basement dweller version of Soluja boy. You'd have to be blind not to see the contrast here.

Well I got news for ya, those suck worse. Thanks for informing me that there is worse music in the world than what I already knew about. I can tell you why you like metal and dark music, because subconsciously you are compensating for something about yourself. For example, sombody who is an idiot that likes to watch teletubbies at 1 am is probably in a band that plays metal songs.
