I think I just realized why combat looks so floaty and weak, they got rid of the tiny slowdown when ever your hits connect with the zombies.
Nintendo does the same thing for the Zelda games.
The first game definitely had that, I don't know about 2 or 3 though.

I loved Dead Rising 3 despite how much it was varying from 1 and 2 but jfc this game looks like garbage. I don't even care that it's coming to PC on release anymore, because I'm not buying it.

Even after watching it i still have very little idea of what the game is actually going to be like.

That's actually hard to watch, it looks so much fucking worse than the previous ones.
They took a fun, lighthearted, brightly colored zombie game and turned it into a gritty and brown zombie game.

Never really a big fan of this franchise but, this video reminded me of those old dynasty warrior games, except more shit. I mean at least dynasty warriors has age as an explanation for being simplistic.
But this gameplay just reminded me of the 'charge into a horde of enemies and hack and slash with absolutely zero consequences'. That's not fun at all.
They should really put this franchise to rest.

It's like the tried to make the game silly again after 3, but didn't go back to the first twos style/theme/setting/etc. They tried to make it silly with 3 as a base for everything, which is why it looks so fucking awkward and bland.
