You've completely missed the point, the scenes of drug use and sexuality are clearly meant as a critique of the moral decay which is rampant in youth culture, while barbie is supposed to represent the impossible standards that women are supposed to hold themselves to in today's society. The fact that barbie is forced to do these things as a lifeless doll is a metaphor for many teen's powerlessness in the face of peer pressure.
