man, i hate how youtube's turned out to be. what was once a great platform for everyone is now completely fucked and turning every youtuber against each other, and against their own free will and morals in order to stay afloat, and youtube isn't doing anything about it.

I'm worried that abuse similar to this will happen with steam, being how valve has been trying to automate everything.
I get that trying to manually sort and moderate through this youtube stuff is incredibly tedious and impossible for anything short of an entire army, but having an entirely automated system seems to leaves it incredibly easy to abuse. Mix that with the laissez-faire approach that google seems to have with youtube, and it has made it feel like this terrible system is here to stay, where content creators are exploited, and the audience is sold to the highest bidder.

Google and Valve easily have the money and resources to do just that in my opinion
