The landing gear units are spaced apart on either side of the payload module. The hybrid air vehicle has characteristics of an airplane, a lighter-than-air airship and a hovercraft. This looks absolutely amazing, it can stay in the air for up to three weeks and requires no ground crew to help it land and on top of that can be flown remotely. Science! :science:

Blimps aren't revolutionary.

This is more than just a blimp. Can land vertically in places with no runway, or on water, and the final design will be able to lift tonnes of materials. It's basically the perfect disaster response vehicle able to drop in masses of supplies into areas that other vehicles can't get to .

Looks like a giant hovercraft to me
