Picked it up for a pound not long ago. It was funny but after writing a million media essays on it, it kinda lost it for me.

The movie is great, it's the first one of the Blood and ice cream trilogy.

Also check out Hot fuzz - same 2 main actors (Pegg and Frost). That's probably the best cop/bobby comedy made so far.
