Looking for music production software

[SamM9845]

I have been looking at music production software like cubase 5, logic pro 9 and abelton live

anybody got any suggestions to what I should get.

I'm mainly into TRANCE and electronic music

CUBASE!!!!! lol well abelton looks easy to use, cubase is awesome but costs a lot :/

yes but fl studio and reason are not as good as logic and stuff like that, and I don't really like the look of them. Plus I have a MAC and u need bootcamp to run FL on it, and I don't want to spend my money on a copy of windows.

the workflow is absolutly awesome

I used to use fl studio untill a few months ago, never gonna go back I think, unless I rewire for some strange reason

I don't see how one would be better than the other. Their capabilites are pretty much identical. It's up to you what synths you want to fill the programs with etc. Many professional DJs and musicians use both FL Studio and Reason.

also, you can get cubase for much cheaper if you are in education, that's how I got mine

I don't really do trance/electronic music, but Logic is pretty sweet in general for music stuff.

I use FL Studio, I don't see very big problems with it. Why is Logic better?
