What is this shit? Create a Planet and Invade Others is a roleplaying game that originated on the now-defunct MS Paint section and is roughly based upon Planetary Picture Wars. Basically, you start off with a planet and then roleplay shit from there. Build ships, go invade other planets, build more ships, blow planets up, form and break alliances, make trade, etc. Ships and planets are all represented by sprites on a big map, but don't worry about being a master at it. You'll get better and people of all skill levels are eligible to play. I welcome everyone to play, if you're shit at spriting then don't worry, nobody really cares. If you wanna do better I can probably help you with that but I'm not that topkek. 2. Use a reliable image host that doesn't compress the image, doesn't change the format, doesn't re size it, and can be seen by everyone. (I recommend cubeupload.com) DO NOT USE IMAGESHACK OR TINYIMG 3. If an image is 3 second crap It can be voted to be ignored. So take time on it. (Rating Agree for keep it/Disagree for discard it.) 4. Big leaps in technology and Overpowering Weapons/Vehicles are not allowed, you can't start having two giant ships that can erase the universe by pressing a button. 5. You are always allowed to make a planet, Unless absolutely necessary, nothing above 128x128 pixels If you really need to, increase the canvas size after adding the planet. THE MAXIMUM SIZE IS 128x128, BUT TRY TO AVOID MAKING IT THAT BIG 6. Declare. Declare is "Getting in line" to post an update on the "universe". If you see a post that says "Declare" but doesn't have an update on the universe image yet, do not post until you see the image in that post or posted later by the same user. Then Post "Declare" and everyone should wait for you to finish before posting another update. 7. Do NOT Declare Stack past 2. Ever. 8. Planets can have moons, but only make moons if you are actually going to use them for something. 9. Shit like Warp Gates, Black Holes, Worm Holes, or Teleporter Orpheuses, are allowed, but you can't just start with them/make them in your second turn. You first need to research and discover that technology, then you have to build what you want, and you need a good reason for it. 10. Do not post a planet, then leave. This is NOT Create a Planet. This is Create a Planet and Invade Others. That means you have to stay and defend your planet. Or it will be destroyed. 11. Name Your Planet. 12. Do NOT cry and argue if your planet is destroyed. If it is destroyed, simply make another one, It Can even Be the Same Planet with a different name! 13. It is recommended you color code/number/differentiate between your similar looking ships to help combat confusion. 14. Always post a brief explanation of what happened in your update at the bottom or top of the image. 15. You are allowed to omit details in your explanation to maintain a stealth technique, but be kind and perhaps leave a clue. 16. Any P2P Message sent from planet to planet on this thread IS hackable. If you want an unhackable message, use the Private Message System Facepunch provides. 17. Don't make giant moves in a single turn. That is considered godmoding and if you do it your post will be ignored. 18. If, for any reason, you disagree with any of these rules, let me know your point and I'll consider changing it. 19. Planets shall have a space of 2 planets between each other, to prevent a clusterfuck. 20. Please thumb/quote the map when you post it.
Some extra notes-
Fleet Points System - Each ship costs a certain amount of points to build and maintain. It is as follows: Large ships - 4 points Medium ships - 2 points Small ships - 1 point Fighter-size ships - 0 points Planet Control Control of planets is important in CaPaIO - You start with 1 planet (Your starting planet is your capital) and that gives you an initial 14 fleet points. For every new planet your capture, your ability to field and maintain ships increases. For every additional planet you control, you gain 8 fleet points. If you lose control of a planet (or it is destroyed), your fleet capacity is reduced by 8 points. If you lose control of your home planet (or it is destroyed), your fleet capacity is reduced by a whole 14 points. Trade Trade is another way to expand fleet capacity. For every trade agreement you establish with another space-faring nation, you gain 4 points in fleet capacity. Your trade can be embargoed by enemy fleets. This works dependent on how many planets you have. For example: If you have 2 planets and 4 trade agreements, an enemy fleet blockading your second planet will result in a loss of 8 fleet points until you can get the embargo lifted. If you have 2 planets and 5 trade agreements, your capital will hold 3 of them and your other planet 2. Resources Exploiting any sort of resource (eg asteroid mining) affords you an extra 2 fleet points. Note that you can only exploit a particular asteroid field once at a time (more ships mining the same asteroids =/= more points). If your ship isn't actively exploiting that particular resource then you aren't getting the fleet points, so if the ship gets destroyed or otherwise preoccupied, you lose the points. NOTE: The asteroid belt has pretty much unlimited capacity. Moons however do not. For each player mining at a particular moon/uninhabited planet, the points awarded is halved for each player. So if 2 players set up at a moon to mine fusion fuel, they each get only 1 point. If it's 4 players, 0.5 points each. Etc. Battles To avoid clusterfucks on the main map, when you engage in a fight with another ship/fleet, please create a new picture (blank space) and place your ships in that map. That way there's plenty of space to fly around and shoot without using half the solar system as your battlefield. Also, I am the GM in certain cases I will decide certain aspects of a battle for people.
The next section will be the initial turn. You can use my post as an example of what your average turn will look like. [T]http://i.cubeupload.com/4QIAsi.png[/T] Enter Sarada, home to a space-faring lizard hybrid race that was exiled from their home empire by racial purists. Nowadays they are a large democratic trade empire that holds little territory of their own but strives to trade extensively with other spacefaring civilizations. Sarada is the capital planet of the Serenids, and their only remaining territory after a great war with an unknown alien race forced them to retreat entirely from their colonies. Their fleets ravaged and much of their trade routes lost to pirates and the advancing alien navy, they are now forced to begin anew, where they started several hundred Terran years ago. Construction: ONE Frigate (small size): Completion in 1 turn Rebuilding spaceports: Completion in 1 turn Allocated fleet points: 1/14 Trade: None Resources: None One note: When you thumb the map and then click on it, it will still appear smaller than usual. If you open the image in a new tab or copy it, it will be full size. :^)
