I've been a weed smoker now for about 4 years (pretty much every day) and growing for 1..
When I began smoking, I would be in a forest every time.. since I was a noob smoker I did not know what to entirely expect.. I am not putting this next bit down to placebo because I would noticeably trip; geometric patterns would form from leaves, leaves would look like faces ect.. similar to an LSD trip believe it or not.
Has anyone else experienced this?

If you honestly experience strong psychedelic esque visuals from smoking weed then you are one lucky fucker. After smoking cannabis or JWH-018 my HPPD will intensify for the duration of the high but never would I get such intense visuals as you describe. Although I do find JWH to be very nicely visual in high doses.
Someone I smoke with once in a while says he sees shit too, and he's a lightweight and new to smoking.
I want to visually trip out on weed.
When I smoke weed ,patterns seem to complete.
I saw a rock that looked like a comic face,and it turned into colored picture.

When I first started smoking everything would be waves of color to me and now it kinda feels like everything is blurry.

I didn't know if it was HPPD or some interaction between my meds and the weed, but whenever I smoke, I get the warm psychedelic glow. No true visual distortions, but everything looks... magical...
I get visual effects all of the time with marijuana (good marijuana)
I am a lightweight and proud of it.
There's something wrong with you if you're getting visual effects from marijuana.
Please, elaborate. What "visual effects" are you consistently experiencing?
Weed makes everything have a higher contrast against everything else. But it's mainly only on the edges of objects.
I've never had visuals on weed. Even on high doses. I guess either I'm unusual or you guys hallucinating are unusual! I get aural hallucinations eg incredibly fast music playing and pulsating through my body.
I get only aural too.
But 2c-I, aural hallucinations are greater, your hearing is 1000x better, your surround is 1000x better etc. Also, pitch is wider.
i got really bad auditory hallucinations the first time i smoked
opposite for me, i was really confused the first time i smoked and didn't know if i was high or not because my vision wasn't distorted a bit like i'd expected at the time
On weed I've gotten quite "powerful" auditory hallucinations, but on synthetic cannabinoids (JWH-018 and JWH-073) I've gotten plenty of visuals, both open and closed eyes, but mostly closed eyes.
I once saw geometric patterns forming out of leaves and twigs after smoking weed. I'd been smoking for about a year at the time and was still pretty lightweight. Only happened to me once though, never had any sort of visuals from weed since.
Also I've had an almost identical trip on LSD since.

My second time smoking I was falling back in my chair from drifting off to sleep late at night and when I realized I was falling and snapped back up, I saw my monitor was black and a tiny white dot grew until it displayed what was on my screen, kind of like when you turn an old TV off but in reverse. later that night I did the same thing and my monitor looks split in half and joined back together in half a second. Later it sounded like people were running outside my door. Throughout all of this I had some intense shutter vision going on and I was really shaky.
When I get high everything just seems to get a thin neon blue highlight around the edges. Pretty cool to be honest.
the most of i've had was hearing people running around and talking outside my window when i was stoned as hell. still don't know if it really happened, but if it did my dog's should have been going off...it's weird
I had closed eye visuals a couple of times. A few times I've had my eyes play tricks on me, like seeing something as something else, but just for a couple of seconds, so it's not exactly much of a hallucination, really.

i have something like this every time, it's more prominent lately
not sure if it's the weed or my own mental health but when i'm high i'm always hearing voices, usually sounds distant, as if there's a party about 10 feet away from me, very real and vivid voices and stuff, and i've also "heard" people shouting at me and banging at my door and stuff, every time i fall for these things and look around for the source of the noise but it's not real
I have had visual effects from smoking weed but only once I was totally ruined after smoking green from Amsterdam and was staring at a bag for about 20 mins and it was like breathing, was fucking awesome.
I wouldn't say it was a trip tho.
Yesterday I went to a fish and reptile shop and there was this chameleon. I was staring at it for about 5 minutes trying to work out whether it was changing colour.
I'm sure it was but I'm not entirely sure.
Don't they only change colour if there attitude changes? like if there angry or scared?

It's feet and stuff blended in with the branches (i.e brown sort of colours). Whilst higher up around its back it was green. From the side, the thing had brilliant camouflage. I'm sure yellow spots and areas started to form on it.
This is a complete guess but it's probably based on Serotonin. If it is then it probably does change based on mood.
I started smoking ripping bonghits with my ex gf. I don't give a shit that you "can't", I've experienced on occasion audial and visual hallucinations though never full blown. Simple shit like patterns and shapes in your vision, colours changing slightly, run of the mill shit. Never happens now though, I smoke alllot now and I can't get that faded like I did when I first started no-where close. I think it's just the virgin honeymoon period :/

Only had minor visual hallucinations once, I was walking home at night after smoking a few bowls of some very nice stuff and was seeing weird geometric patterns. My vision also seemed to be almost slowly spinning of it's own accord. That was the only time it's ever happened though, and it wasn't very intense.

I'm not sure if hearing voices is a good thing, my sister use to hear voices and see people, but i dont know if that was also because after time she got onto the crack and ice, so when so tried weed it caused problems... well i do know, it was that.
I sometimes get mad patterns when i close my eyes when going to bed after like 5 cones of mad hydro
