And he says he plans on talking to the new Liberal government about how to go about getting it. “I’m all for warrantless access to subscriber info. If I had to get a judge on the phone every time I wanted to run a license plate when I was doing my policing, there wouldn’t have been much policing getting done,” Paulson told a security conference on Wednesday.

Governments are coming to us and they’re saying, ‘hey these people are infiltrating our databases and violating privacy of individuals.’
Yes, lets us instead have the government infiltrating our shit and violating our privacy. Liberals were a bad choice and will probably support this legislation.
Paulson supports an “administrative” scheme that would give police ready access to a customer’s name and address while respecting the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Warrants.
it really does seem that snowden revealed all the nsa and surveillance shit and many other countries thought it was a great idea. [editline]27th November 2015[/editline] its like they saw how little actually happened from that and are deciding they can now push it through because terrorism

Warrants.
Yes, because Harper and the conservative idiots didn't try to do just that 3 years ago: And accuse critics of siding with child pornographers Also the Liberals were against that bill (can't remember the name) 3 years ago. You honestly believe they are going to side with something so invasive? (well they might; anything is possible in politics)
No thanks please. Just get a warrant is that so bad?
I actually support this for catching pedophiles but the problem is they could use it to catch and charge people who are pirating without having to use a warrant which is complete bullshit compared to catching pedophiles.

Could mean litterbug.
Except ISP subscriber info probably wouldn't help much since they use darknet.
and I wouldn't put it past authorities to try to "make an example" of someone who has cached child porn thumbnails on their computer, which you can easily get by going to just about any thread on 8chan. it wouldn't make it through court obviously but it would still make it extremely easy for them to destroy someone's reputation.
Yes, because Harper and the conservative idiots didn't try to do just that 3 years ago: And accuse critics of siding with child pornographers Also the Liberals were against that bill (can't remember the name) 3 years ago. This party supported bill c-51 and supports the TTP which both strip people of their privacy.

Goes against the charter of rights & freedoms, would not go down well with a Liberal federal parliament. He'd be better off getting a warrant.
The liberal party is a catch-all party that will grab onto anything popular. They don't have core principles. This party supported bill c-51 and supports the TTP which both strip people of their privacy.
I got the impression that you were conservative? I guess you were hoping for NDP? Because if you are a conservative- I got some bad news: both C-51 and TPP were supported by Harper and the conservatives. C-51 was introduced by the conservatives.. So, I don't understand your argument if you are a conservative voter... And the liberals made promise to change C-51; at least the the second class Canadian citizens nonsense.. Look I can only guess why the liberals supported C-51; maybe they realized that the election was coming up and they didn't want the conservatives to use the bill against them (Liberals didn't support Anti-terrorism Act!! VOTE CONSERVATIVE has a nice ring to it with the frightened old people). As for TPP; well that's geopolitics at work. Canada under Harper had already shown support for the TPP. So the new Prime Minister has to continue with the same support until the TPP reaches a vote (I'm fairly certain that the vote still must happen in the house of commons before it becomes part of Canada) where it could potentially die. Our voice counts and emailing your representative would be step #1 if you are that hardcore about politics (well even if you aren't hardcore- TPP should probably be stopped). Also 'grab onto anything popular'? Every party is guilty of that.. That is how you win votes.. That is what politics is all about. NDP dropped in popularity the second they retracted 'post-secondary education should be free for all Canadians' (among other things). I'm all over the place I get that. So here is my argument concerning this current issue: If the conservatives had majority right now; they'd be busy resurrecting that 2013 bill and start calling critics terrorists of little children. Because clearly the conservatives don't give a shit about our privacy since they are the ones that constantly create/support invasive bullshit.
What are you going to do with my data, RCMP? Drive it out to the woods and leave it for dead when it's drunk? Rape it and try to cover it up? Let's see your data so we can clean up your house before talking about ours

Okay as long as they don't look at my collection of stolen adult films :tinfoil:

You shouldnt have any thing to hide, right?
