All of the official videos, including recent ad campaigns, have been removed from the account. In their place are short clips soliciting advertisers, not surprisingly, as the channel has some 24,000+ subscribers. As of 1:30 p.m. ET, four videos have been uploaded to the account, all time-stamped within the past two hours. A fifth video, most recently uploaded, seems to have been removed. The video, “Garry’s Mod – Escape the Box,” featured what appeared to be an animated gunman shooting at the inside of a construction box. The channel’s description reads, “I DID NOTHING WRONG I SIMPLY SIGNED INTO MY ACCOUNT THAT I MADE IN 2006 :/.” [/release] Mr Garry....
Maybe it was his channel back in 2006 and he left it for a long time only to come back and see microsoft actually using it without his consent? :o
Possibility that a guy just remembers his password for his Youtube channel, and it happens to be the same as the official Microsoft channel, and same channel name and everything = ?
Maybe it was his channel back in 2006 and he left it for a long time only to come back and see microsoft actually using it without his consent? :o
Darn Microsoft, they steal everything! Our money, Our information, and now our youtube channels?!?!
Maybe it was his channel back in 2006 and he left it for a long time only to come back and see microsoft actually using it without his consent? :o
microsoft wasn't smart enough to change the e-mail for the channel, so all he had to do was request a "forgot pass" link.
Funny imo.
“I DID NOTHING WRONG I SIMPLY SIGNED INTO MY ACCOUNT THAT I MADE IN 2006 :/.”
Right, as if anyone's gonna buy that.
He wasn't "hacked" Seems more like Microsoft hijacked some YouTuber's account and the kid got it back. [release]This is how he "hacked" the channel: He legittly made the account Microsoft when youtube wasn't that big but the REAL Microsoft probably asked Youtube to disable it and give it to them. The flaw is that* this account was probably still linked to this kid's email and microsoft forgot to change it or whatever. So all this kid had to do was recover this account using his old email. Not that hard. Thats probably how the other big Channels got "hacked".[/release] http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/23/microsofts-youtube-channel-hacked_n_1027348.html

Besides isn't this some old trick? Create accounts and websites using some big company's name so that they can then sell it to that big company?
Nice, apparently people keep coming to my channel claiming I hacked microsoft and dislike spamming my videos.

Can't they just get it back, kinda like what happened to that Fred guy?
why would they do that?
I have no idea, but judging from "hacker is* redirect to this channel", that's why. Also, I'm pretty sure one of these guys is from Facepunch, I recognize the avatar + name.
Hahaha.

Hmph.
That is something you never want to do, the lawsuits and chaos behind it are not worth it.
I believe a FP'er did that when Twitter was new. He registered @Mozilla, @Firefox, etc....Mozilla asked him if they could have those, he said sure, no argument or nothing. Mozilla sent him a box full of swag.
You can't even get on the channel now. It just gives me an error.
You can't even get on the channel now. It just gives me an error.
Works for me..
I believe a FP'er did that when Twitter was new. No videos are uploaded on the channel.
No videos are uploaded on the channel.
I assume there is cleaning up happening.
Why the fuck does this happen every week? :v:

LMAO... And all of Microsofts videos are too.. WTF?
The escape the box video is back up.
So the video features a guy breaking out of a Toybox entity using a minecraft weapon I made last year? And it was uploaded to the Microsoft youtube channel? I now have a sense of unwarranted achievement
The "Hacker" made a new channel in response to Microsoft reclaiming what was not theirs to begin with. http://www.youtube.com/user/YTSucksYep
