Iranian Intelligence Minister Heydar Moslehi claims that Osama Bin Laden died from an illness before the US raid on his compound in Abbottabad. Iran has documents to prove it, he said.
"We have credible information that Bin Laden died some time ago of a disease," Moslehi said on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on Sunday, as quoted by ISNA news agency.
"If the US military and intelligence apparatus have really arrested or killed Bin Laden, why don't they show him [his body]? Why have they thrown his corpse into the sea?" Moslehi asked rhetorically, FARS news agency reports.
Moslehi labeled the US raid in Abbottabad as a “PR campaign”, created to divert the attention of its citizens from domestic problems, such as the “fragile” state of the US economy.
"We believe that what the US is seeking, by dictated media programs, to overshadow the recent awakening in the region through the release of such reports," ISNA quoted Moslehi as saying.
Bin Laden was killed on May 2 in the Pakistani town of Abbottabad, north of the capital Islamabad, during a special operation carried out by US Navy Seals. President Barack Obama announced the news in a special address to the nation.
The news of “justice having been done” sparked mass celebrations in the United States and then ignited a new wave of conspiracy theories after Washington refused to release Bin Laden’s postmortem photographs, claiming that they might instigate a new wave of radicalism.
Ok, so then Iran, where's the proof?
Derp, I'm slow, it's the same report that Fox did, though I think they're saying they have FURTHER proof.

You could ask the Americans the same thing LOL
we'll know he's actually dead when they release all his videos in a box set
Havn't they already prooved it was Bin Laden using DNA and such.

There was an article on it on it 10 years ago: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,41576,00.html
Havn't they already prooved it was Bin Laden using DNA and such.
Which the US could have faked, or so Iran would think.

Funny how when that was brought up in my conspiracy thread everybody shot it down instantly due to it being a conspiracy.
Havn't they already prooved it was Bin Laden using DNA and such.
The claim is that the U.S. fabricated Osama's death, the DNA tests were carried out by the U.S.
Havn't they already prooved it was Bin Laden using DNA and such.
Which was overseen only by the people making the claims

I did, most of GD called me a nut because I questioned if we really killed him.
Maybe in a few years we'll see the proper "pictures" that the US decided not to release. If they don't release em, maybe Wikileaks will get them out instead :v:
We'll get the truth eventually, even if it takes a decade.

I really wouldn't be surprised if it surfaced that they were destroyed, be it purposely, or "accidentally"

I agree. Too much jingoistic cock sucking going on over here.
Why am I NOT surprised that Iran would be saying this?
And since when has Iran actually earned any credibility lately?
Haha, what total bullshit. Alright Iran, if you have such a 'credible source', then release the damn information.
I'd trust the US over Iran.
Iran has no credibility in my view.
Iran, the terror sponsoring theocracy. Looks like I should take its word for it!

For what reasons? You have two countries claiming two different stories, and neither one of them are supplying proof. I don't believe either of them at this point.

I would ask the same from USA, really.
Bin Laden is alive, Bin Laden is dead, Bin Laden never existed, Bin Laden is a Eskimo.
So many choices! What should i pick?
America: We have proof but we wont show it to you
Facepunch: OMG YAY OSAMA IS DEAD ALL HAIL AMERICA HEIL OBAMA HEIL OBAMA
Iran: We have proof but we wont show it to you however 10 years ago we said the exact sa-
Facepunch: No proof? What an obvious lie!
Please continue to rate dumb and not respond because I implied the glorious empire of america isnt trustworthy and you have no idea how to respond in a way that portays america in a positive light.

I'm not talking about this event specifically. On merit, I'd rather trust the US than Iran.
For instance, Iran's stance on nuclear proliferation - who actually believes what they're saying?
I've seen about 6 different credible sources saying he died before the raid, and only one (US government) saying that they killed him. I'm still not sure what to believe as both sides of the argument don't have any proof.
I might be inclined to believe this if it wasn't for the fact that none of the sources can agree on what type of illness that caused his death.
Iran also claims that they don't have any weapons of mass destruction.
iran also claims that the holocaust never happened

Russia Today
I see where this is going.
It's an illuminati plot, wake up you sheep!

See, the problem here is that you're talking about their nuclear program while we're talking about their claim about Bin Laden being dead for 10 years. There's a pretty huge difference between the two, and what they say about the nuclear program has absolutely nothing to do with when Bin Laden died
Osama's death was made up, just like the holocaust, right Iran?
