Florida deputies capture alligator walking toward school crossing
SHERIFF'S deputies were forced to lasso a 2.3 metre alligator Monday as it ambled toward a school crossing in western Florida.
The gator was first spotted by a Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office School Crossing Guard, who phoned authorities when she saw the reptile lying near a footpath near Forest Lakes Elementary School just before 7am local time - the time of day when students usually walk to school.
As deputies waited for a trapper to arrive, the alligator began to walk along the path toward an intersection where children were crossing the street, prompting officers to take action.
Working quickly, the three deputies were able to get a rope around the gator's neck and tail before the creature started to fight back.
The gator thrashed and rolled around, crashing into a wall and breaking off pieces of stucco.
Deputies Jeffrey Crandall, Michael Bard and Richard Serra, Jr were able to put handcuffs around its hind legs and tape over its mouth once it stopped rolling around.
Fish and Wildlife Officials took custody of the alligator until the trapper arrived.
Until a child's clitoris is missing and the state goes on a manhunt.
It looks rather docile. And cute :3:
Hahahaha, got handcuffs on it awesome stuff.
Imagine how different this story would have been if it got there unnoticed.
:ohdear:
