http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/08/10/greg-gutfeld-im-opening-g_n_676699.html Read this on Something Awful this morning.
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld has an interesting response to the Ground Zero mosque: he's opening a gay bar nearby. The "RedEye" host wrote on his blog Monday that he's "planning to build and open the first gay bar that caters not only to the west, but also Islamic gay men." "As an American, I believe they have every right to build the mosque - after all, if they buy the land and they follow the law - who can stop them?" he wrote. "Which is, why, in the spirit of outreach, I've decided to do the same thing." Gutfeld insists "this is not a joke," and is soliciting investors for the project, which he says will occupy an "available commercial space" next to the planned mosque. "As you know, the Muslim faith doesn't look kindly upon homosexuality, which is why I'm building this bar. It is an effort to break down barriers and reduce deadly homophobia in the Islamic world," he wrote, adding that he'll have an entire Islam-friendly floor that serves non-alcoholic drinks.
Suggested names - From something awful: Jihard Qur'ection Grind Zero The Spiral Manaret It's Raining Men Sha-hard Native Peen Taq-off Twink Towers Taliboner
oh god what do the fundie christians have to say about this. they flip out enough about muslims being near ground zero but gay ones will probably set them off the scale.
Now this is quality trolling on their part. :golfclap:
Wow, obvious Troll is obvious.
Shitstorm brewing.
Wait...someone from Fox doing something tolerant?
One thing Gred seems to forget is that there is a large gay Islamic community. [editline]07:52PM[/editline]
Wait...someone from Fox doing something tolerant?
He's like doing a weird... attack and protect thing.
Islamic Gay Men? :crossarms:
He fails to realize that this won't do shit. The center isn't for hardcore extremist muslims that firebomb "immoral" places or some shit. It's a casual place for laidback Muslims to do nothing more than show the world that they're not some sort of antichrist devils or whatever, like most hardcore Christians who have no idea what they're talking about believe. Ignorant Fox News is ignorant.
greg gutfeld isn't real fox news, he's satire - like jon stewart, or steven colbert he's one of the few people i watch on fox news, he's actually pretty funny (until he starts bringing up politics and you can see his real beliefs leak through)

Unless you believe every last thing in that book, you aren't a muslim; you're an infidel who must be extinguished according to the Islamic religious beliefs.
This is hilarious. [editline]01:58PM[/editline]
Read the Quran (Koran, however the fuck you spell it). Did anyone see the Daily Show last night where he talked about the mosque that has been "in the vicinity of ground zero" before the Twin Towers even existed?
Twink Towers
I vote this one.
Read the Quran (Koran, however the fuck you spell it). Unless you believe every last thing in that book, you aren't a muslim; you're an infidel who must be extinguished according to the Islamic religious beliefs.
lol, back to reality.
I thought that being a gay muslim is grounds for honor killing?
There are pleny of gay muslims

The verdict for Homosexuality in Islam (and Judaism, and Christianity) is death.
There are pleny of gay muslims
Yeah, everyone knows that. But it's not pointing out the fact that there are gay Muslims. It's pointing out that Muslims kill gays in their country. Also, the post above mine makes it a tad ironic, because if Christians and Jews still had their way, it would still be a death sentence. Also, this guy works at Fox and he's opening a Gay Bar? :wtc:
It's possible to be a republican and supporting gay rights.

All non-Muslims are marked for the death in this world. Explains why when the Muslims ruled Spain hundreds of years ago, they were the only ruling religion to allow other religons to come, seeing as religion was taken extremely seriously back then, care to explain why this happened?
Not really accurate, starplucks. In some eras - the Muslims were more tolerant to the religious minorities (still putting them in the Dhimmi class), and at other times - not so much (massacring and deporting). The Qur'an is full of violent Surahs, nonetheless. The question is how are they interpreted and implanted.

But many converted to Islam.
I was talking about when they ruled Spain
The Almohad dynasty ruled Spain and persecuted the religious minorities.
The Almohad dynasty ruled Spain and persecuted the religious minorities.
No it was the Al-Andalus.
No it was the Al-Andalus.
What...? Andalus is the southern part of Spain. The Muslims never controlled entire Spain.
The non-Muslims were given the status of ahl al-dhimma (the people under protection), adults paying a "Jizya" tax, equal to one Dinar per year with exemptions for old people, women, children and the disabled, whenever there was a Christian authority in the community. [editline]11:12PM[/editline] They had most of it.
