The ending was so epic!
They looked cheesy and stupid to me, the ending explosion was looking good but even that ended up looking bad.

I am almost certain they did all these effects using dynamic physics. You just define the way the object should break, the force that breaks it, and the rest is done by the engine.

Although, some animations looked really cheesy, especially the hand lifting up at the end explosion...
Even if it was cheezy, you have to admit that it is one of the better frag videos.

The editing was ok, but what's with the 5 xp per kill? It's really dumb.
I like how the 2D looking hand just pops up in the middle of the screen.

The animation was stiff, reminiscent of 3d clips from the 90's, the render was incredibly different than what the game looks like, everything was either too matte, or too shiny and overall it seems like he overdid it. The lighting gives off too warm colors (Probably it's the default sunlight system), everything needs more aa and the maps lack details. The explosion effects, like the pieces or rock flying around or the statue falling apart are generated reactor effects, and are incredibly easy to do. I think the guy visited Video Copilot a lot, because there's no indication of anything but the default settings for each effect.
It's cheesy because of the delicate, yet visible contrast between his 3d work and the game.
And I think it's called just "Video editing". Last time I checked "3D editing" refers to the process of modeling. Is the video in 3D? No.
