Google has reportedly banned a handful of Anonymous members from Google+ (it's not exactly clear how many accounts were shut down). The hacktivist group likened Google's actions to the stories of activists being banned from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, as well as governments blocking various websites using Internet censorship tools. As a result, Anonymous has decided to create its own social network: Anonplus, located at anonplus.com. Currently, the site has only been announced. At the bottom left hand corner, it says "Revision :0.1 Alpha." While this version number is meant to indicate that the site is still very early in development, it's not a social network yet. There is no way to sign up or interact. Currently there's just one webpage with the Anonplus name, the motto "Social Networking Anonymously," and the heading "Welcome to Anonplus.com the Anonymous Social Networking site." The only link is to the Dev Forum, which uses the Zetaboards forum software, and isn't even on the anonplus.com domain name. There are four subforums set up: The Logic, The Interface, General Chatter, and Staff Postions. At the time of writing, the forum already had over 100 registered members. This initiative is an odd one because it jibes with what Anonymous is all about: getting things done anonymously. Still, it is technically possible to build a social network that doesn't share anything with anyone unless you specifically give it permission to. In fact, Anonplus will probably not encourage sharing information like your full name and location. Either way, the goal appears to be to build a social network where you can say and do anything you want. "This is one social network that will not tolerate being shut down, censored, or oppressed - even in the face of blackout," an Anonymous spokesperson wrote in a statement. "We the people have had enough…enough of governments and corporations saying what's best for us - what's safe for our minds. The sheep era is over. The interwebz are no longer your prison."
Like they'll actually accomplish anything. Just a bunch of angsty teenagers butthurt cause they said "I TROL U FGT" one too many times and they got banned.
The joke: anonymous social network
How the fuck are you supposed to make a social networking site where no one is identified?
Anonymous are ranking up there with the human appendix and chocolate teapots in terms of uselessness
How the fuck are you supposed to make a social networking site where no one is identified?
They can call it a Anti-Social Network. Problem.. Solved?
How the fuck are you supposed to make a social networking site where no one is identified?
the same way you hook up with horny 18 year old females in chat rooms
s is one social network that will not tolerate being shut down, censored, or oppressed - even in the face of blackout," an Anonymous spokesperson wrote in a statement. "We the people have had enough…enough of governments and corporations saying what's best for us - what's safe for our minds. The sheep era is over.
the same way you hook up with horny 18 year old females in chat rooms
I still don't understand how that works and how people claim to have hooked up with like a dozen chicks doing it. Either I'm missing something or they're lying through their teeth.
the same way you hook up with horny 18 year old females in chat rooms
You don't, but end up talking to a bunch of basement dwellers?
Like they'll actually accomplish anything. Just a bunch of angsty teenagers butthurt cause they said "I TROL U FGT" one too many times and they got banned.
You read right? This was a mass ban targeted at people for association.
You read right? This was a mass ban targeted at people for association.
It would be nice to have a full story
The ONLY part of the idea I like is no censorship. If this was created from some other, less infamous group, I might think differently about it. But because it's by anonymous they can go crawl in a hole and die.
lol just because they were members of anonymous doesn't mean they were banned for being members of anonymous
Why were they banned in the first place? If it was solely because they were "anonymous", Google is completely in the wrong for banning them
AnnonPlus in a nutshell: 1. Instead of likes or +1 it would be a mini-awesome face. 2. People would be sprouting memes everywhere 3. Neckbeards everywhere tldr don't use this
Why were they banned in the first place? If it was solely because they were "anonymous", Google is completely in the wrong for banning them
Yeah, this is the part I'm unclear about.
Why were they banned in the first place? If it was solely because they were "anonymous", Google is completely in the wrong for banning them
my google plus username is Psuedo Nym, i have been expecting a ban but it has yet to happen why do i slip through the name radar
This kinda proves Anon is all 12 year old kids now.
could people please stop referring to anonymous as a hacktivist group? downloading DDoSing tools doesn't make you a hacker and anonymous isn't a group in any sense of the word
This kinda proves Anon is all 12 year old kids now.
I believe the Scientology protests are proof you are wrong
my google plus username is Psuedo Nym, i have been expecting a ban but it has yet to happen why do i slip through the name radar
The Nym family is very powerful, Google doesn't want to upset them
an Anonymous spokesperson wrote in a statement.
hahahahahahahahahaha what
an anonymous social networking site? i thought they already had that, and called it 4chan
bahaahahahahahahahahahahaha how can they even take themselves seriously
How Anonymous perceives themselves: reality:
their forum is hosted by zetaboards... it's shit.

I want this
the term anonymous member is so vague. What even makes someone anonymous? I admit I frequent and post on the /tg/ board of 4chan because I enjoy the D&D and Warhammer 40k threads. My post is anonymous on there, does that make me a member? It's just dumb when someone says "memeber of anonymous"
What the fuck is this shit?
