Well, at least some of them I would think didn't have an intention of stealing when picking it up. But good video for the reactions anyway :v: (I'm not entirely sure that it's by Microsoft, but Long Zheng said it was, so)
Personally I would've walked right by.
Stupid. picking up a product lyig in the middle of a public place with no one around =/= stealing.
Those are so obviously staged. The people react before actually picking it up. Kinda dumb.
I'd have picked it up then probably tried opening it whilst it was going off in my face but this is pretty stupid, what's it meant to prove? Anyone with a brain is going to pick up a Microsoft product given that they know how expensive it is and most people'll attempt to find the owner of it so they're not shitting themselves over losing an expensive product.
the sound is edited in, seems fake
Anyone with a brain is going to pick up a Microsoft product
I wouldn't pick up Vista even if a gun was held to my head
Woah mister hardass over here ^
Woah mister hardass over here ^
Don't you turn around at me Justin Beiber
Both Vista hater and Justin Beiber shut up.
I would've probably just kicked it (seeing as how it's a box lying in the middle of the way, I'd assume it was some random empty box) and then freak the fuck out when the alarm goes off. I wouldn't actually take it though, unless it was a box of Adobe Master Collection CS4 or something.

uh it seems pretty obvious you can't hear background noise at all and the alarm is emanating from no specific location. it was overlayed on top of the video. some of those people reacted unbelievably and in some occasions prematurely. [editline]08:18PM[/editline] notice how it never shows you the reactions of the people around them? yeah that's because there's no sound coming out of the box. and the way the sound is triggered doesn't make any sense. it starts when somebody touches it, but rattling around after it gets dropped doesn't set it off? the siren stops before it's finished moving. fake fake fake
What do you mean prematurely? You can't fake reactions like this. And if the noise is loud and pure it could go through like that.

I haven't seen any premature reactions, or atleast none reacted before the alarm went off. People have different reaction times. There weren't any people in view of the camera when the alarm went off or even after that, so I don't know what you're meaning. The alarm is most likely activated manually with a button instead of movement.
Maybe the sound was added in later because the sound in the actual video was too quiet due to the background sounds.
This hilarious. The case looks so innocent, just standing there on it's side.
Fags at 50, I mean C'mon!
It's a genuine fake.
It's a funny fake, none the less.
Lol @ those two gay guys. The first one picked it up and threw it and was flicking his wrists and shit like a girl. :v:
Why is it ultrasonic?
I would have kicked it. Without even thinking of picking it up.
I would of picked it up and put it in my bookbag and leave it there.
Seeing the box standing upright like that in the middle of a walkway or stairs would certainly make me go "Wut? :raise:" Kinda pointless really, since they're basically putting it up for grabs by deliberately placing it like that and then going "Lol pepl tried 2 stealz it :downs:!". Why not just paint a huge fucking neon arrow above it if you're trying to make it obvious that there are some shenanigans involved?
If I walked by, I would kick it hard.
At 0:45, the person leaves a sheet of paper beside the box.
At 0:45, the person leaves a sheet of paper beside the box.
It's an alarmed sheet of paper. When the pranksters come to retrieve their box, it goes off.
I'm actually glad i watched it before reading all these "FAKE FAKE FAKE" comments, i actually laughed a few times and enjoyed it.
I wouldn't pick up Vista even if a gun was held to my head
It wasn't vista anyways, it was Office 2007.
