On my third acid trip it took about 450-500ug of acid. That night i endured the most powerful experince of my life, egodeath. After the trip i noticed that the visuals effects never stopped, but the visuals where somehow different to the psychedelic visuals. Everything is constantly twisting, bending and morphing. Objects grow, shrink and pulse. My hands, cars and other fast moving objects gives off tracers similar to the ones you can get on alcohol or when you wake up in the morning. I randomly see shadows, orbs and falshes outside my center of vision, but they disappear as soon as i look at them. When i am tired and go to bed the pseudohallucinations gets alot stronger, they become very detailed and real. walls breath, move around and complex patterns appear everywhere. Clothing hanging inside my closet or laying on the floor often become animals like horses or cats, very often i see a child floating in the air, her legs move like if she was walking towards me but shes just floating a decimeter above ground not getting anywhere. her hair is long and she have no face. My current material reality now seems to be less solid as it where before that strong trip. I know my symptoms are preety weak compared to other unlucky people who have severe hppd. I actually enjoy my hppd because i like my reality to be a little trippy and i never find the more realistic hallucinations to be scary. Does anyone else who got hppd here?
I've had really weird and fucked up hallucinations in my room when I've not taken anything for a week and I do believe in this condition but I don't think it's too serious and it should wear off. I don't recommend indulging in psychadelics again though.

I think it's pretty stupid to continue taking psychadelics if you have HPPD.
I think it's pretty stupid to continue taking psychadelics if you have HPPD.
My hppd is not bothering me at all and my symptoms have never gotten worse. I have gone through about 20 trips after i got it. I did not create this thread to verify some nonexistant stupidity, but instead to discuss hppd and to see if anyone else got it here.
I've got HPPD, as does catch33, repeated 2C-E use definitely causes it. But it's pleasant, and it intensifies when I get high, which is quite fun really, as the tracers get rather strong. [editline]02:33PM[/editline] I just read your thread and you have seriously fucked up HPPD, I would have to agree with Dan here.
Not once in all my years of tripping have i got HPPD luckily. i know some who have though, only mild cases. if I got HPPD i'd probably stop psychadelics for a bit to prevent the risk of it getting worse
Only had it mild for a couple of days after my first acid trip. Had black objects and outlines in my peripheral vision. [editline]06:01AM[/editline] Didn't think much of it to be honest. It goes away and isn't harmful as far as I know.
i had hppd for a few days after i did DPH. little black objects moving around at the corner of my vision, hearing subtle whispering. the whispering was very unpleasant and scary, as i was attempting to sleep when i started hearing it, scared the shit out of me.
HPPD can definitely be psychologically damaging in my opinion. I've experienced it but I'm such a laid back guy that I just look in awe at psychotic anomalies, I'd go as far as to say I actually enjoy them.
I have hppd from using 2c-e. Constantly have faint fractals on surfaces, mild tracers and intense visual noise. I love it :D
Ahh yes the visual noise, major floaters and static in the sky, it's beautiful  Never had whispering, although I do believe my DPH trips intensified the HPPD, only in a good way.
I thought everyone saw static in the sky? I always have as far as I remember, certainly since before I took drugs.
^ I see it in the dark, but not the sky
Yeah, I definitely have some form of HPPD. It's not terrible, though. I just start having minor psychedelic visual effects if I let my mind run wild for a little bit. Oh, and when I'm really fucking tired, everything has that warm psychedelic glow to it.
I thought everyone saw static in the sky? I always have as far as I remember, certainly since before I took drugs.
Like Octave, I see it in the dark. I also start to see it if I look at the same spot for more than a few seconds. I think it's actually pretty normal and it doesn't really bother me. I've had it pretty much as far back as I can remember, but I definitely think a certain drug habit last year made it a little worse. I also have mild tinnitus, but that also doesn't bother me.
I also have mild tinnitus, but that also doesn't bother me.
same with me, I have to really focus on the ringing for it to get annoying.
magic mushroom usage gave me HPPD and i love it, smoking weed and sleep deprivation gives me the same symptoms of a low dosed shroom trip. Its probably the psychoactive compounds thats still in ur blood.

I had a really intense Mephedrone psychosis where I was touching trees in my goddamn room. Was cool as fuck but still, staying up on drugs is rarely a good plan.
Still seeing shit 40 hours after 15mg 2c-e snorted. Whoops. I think that your brain is only noticing things that it previously blocked out though. Just forget about it and you won't notice it anymore.
A theory on bluelight suggested visuals are caused by disturbances in the steps the brain takes to get the optical stimuli to a representation image in the brain. They argue hallucinogens either inhibit certain layers of this procedure or that they increase the "frame rate/refresh rate" and thus making it out of synch. It's just a theory but I find it's the most compelling I've heard so far.
Isn't sleep deprivation/psychosis when brains are tired and are doing half-job?
Isn't sleep deprivation/psychosis when brains are tired and are doing half-job?
It's normally due to a combination of excessive dopamine in the synapse and lack of sleep. But both alone can exhibit the same effect. Peripheral hallucinations and audio hallucinations occur. They're seriously fucked up, like a DPH trip, they are real, there's no doubt in your mind. The reason it feels like a low level mushroom trip is because honestly psychosis is often euphoric, hallucinations can be amusing but your judgement is totally out of whack.
I think I got amphetamine hallucinations, first time it was scary, but second time that I knew it was coming, I actually very enjoyed them.
I think I got amphetamine hallucinations, first time it was scary, but second time that I knew it was coming, I actually very enjoyed them.
Ditto. First time every small noise made me jump out my skin and I saw shadows on walls etc. Second time I just found them hilarious.
I can't laugh on any amphetamine. I just... can't. Any of my friends can't.
I meant I found them hilarious psychologically, I did not burst out laughing, that'd make me insane.

I know what you mean about not laughing on amphetamine. It's so annoying sometimes
