okay, from the explosion, comes billions of fur and bone asteroids and stuff
and 2 suns are created, one previously being the cat's head and one the dog's head
their paws become planets (uninhabitable atm) surrounding the respective head :)

the gravity of kitten kaboodle isn't enough for one of it's pawnets, which flies off on a trajectory which will, eventually, put it in habitable orbit of the kennel.
nobody knows how long this will take, but hopefully the bacteria onboard will have started doing something by the time they arrive.
Create planet and call it Earth, make it be "occupied" (inhabited or whatever.) by creatures called "humans" along with other animals which will help them survive, along with various other things on it.
