After her child died at Beckton children’s hospice, she and the child’s father were forced to carry the body in their own car to an undertakers, an ordeal she never recovered from, according to her family.
This is so unbelievably fucked. Like, there are no words to properly describe this.
Prison staff found Reed dead on 11 January and informed her family the same day, reportedly telling them she had strangled herself while lying on her bed. Relatives have claimed that officials asked them to identify Reed, but when they arrived they were treated with hostility and their requests to see her body were refused.
I think I'm just going to lie down and feel like garbage for a while.
she had strangled herself while lying on her bed.
This is literally impossible, if you try to strangle yourself you let go when you pass out.
So woman gets assaulted by cop, cop gets fired, woman is found dead in her prison cell, supposed cause of death is physically impossible, her family is met with hostility, and cant see the body. Unless the source left out some important details about the strangling this smells.
This is literally impossible, if you try to strangle yourself you let go when you pass out.
You could use a tool, like bed sheets or shoelaces, but most prisons will take away anything a prisoner could use to kill themselves.
I don't get why they even have the right to refuse family members from seeing the corpse like why is that even a thing and if it's not why is it just being mentioned so casually as if nothing will happen to them because of that
Even with sheets unless you hung yourself you'd have to let go of the ends and then it would loosen.
Not if you tie it up. Then it becomes a sort of, well, "hands-free" experience. ... Maybe I should clarify that I'm not speaking out of any sort of personal experience concerning attempting suicide. I'm just going with what I've seen and heard from outside sources.
Unless this lady tied that shit up tight around her neck she couldn't have strangled herself to death. Its impossible. [editline]4th February 2016[/editline] And the fact that they wouldn't let anyone see the body amplifies my suspicion [editline]4th February 2016[/editline] Oh and if she was known to have a mental condition due to the death of a child wouldn't she be under suicide surveillance anyway?
