United States, China, and Iran - General

So I've been thinking the past several days. Once China gets powerful enough, does the United States have to worry about Chinese conflicts? Now I know they basically make everything we have and a war like that would definitely cripple the US. If a war ever broke out, what are the chances of Chinese success? China has a total of 3,455,000 troops (active & reserve) The United States has a total of 2,455,000 troops (active & reserve) China has approx one million more soldiers, which makes sense because of their massive population. But who has the better military technology? I would think the US. So let's see how this would work out. United States - More advanced military technology, probably help from other foreign nations (Canada, UK, Australia?) Not quite sure. China - A million more soldiers... Chinese invasion isn't a likely threat for the time being, but as they grow, who knows. But the question is, what would be their motive? Another problem I've been thinking about is Iran. Now mind you, they don't have the ability to come and attack us, but I'm wondering, with them developing a nuclear program and their extreme hatred towards Israel, would war also be a possibility? After World War II, we've promised to protect Israel. So that being said, what are your thoughts? China doesn't even have the capacity to strike anywhere far outside China such as US. And I also think it's impossible for US to conquer China.

china's ecomony is slowly going up and i'm sure once it'll surpass USA they have a chance.

There will be no more big wars. This situation would never happen.

Plus China doesn't treat its people very well, so other people don't want something made in a place deemed 'unethical'.

People stopped working to feed themselves and now want to work to travel and have fun with their lives. They started going on strikes and all. China is going through tough times, right now. China won't attack America ever, it'd cripple there falling economy. Everybody is going through the same shit and attacking right now is just plain stupid.

China might have a million more soldiers, but it's lacking proper transportation to transport those million soldiers to U.S mainland, without USA doing anything about it.

The US and China are nothing like the US and the Soviets used to be, they're friends largely. The US relies on China to produce stuff cheaply. China relies on the US to buy their cheap stuff. Of course the good relations at the moment are only thanks to Obama, Bush really hated China.

Just maybe not grow as much as it used to grow.

[/QUOTE] And China since they'd lose a massive amount of trade and income, which would basically mean their forces would eventually go into a stalemate since neither side could get reinforced enough to invade well enough. Eventually, all of that would lead to damaged relations between China and U.S., damaged economy, no victor and thousands of pointless deaths.

In order for any 'World War' type scenario to have a victor in this day, Nuclear Weapons would have to be used, and that won't happen due to [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutual_assured_destruction]M.A.D.[/url]
