I'm really loving the setting and atmosphere going on for this one.

Damn there's some proper spooky and fucked up stuff in there. I might actually play this one, the first game's setting didn't appeal to me but this looks really interesting.

The occult, middle of nowhere feel makes me initially think Innsmouth, but the Christianity subtext going on, and that southern "leader" from the cornfield video screams "Jonestown" to me.

the timing, actually just finished the dlc. He wants to give you boobs and saw off your dick so he can "plant his seed" but you get away and can keep your weewee
Yeah, he's trying to make a bride, in other words turn you into a woman. You see some failed attempts around but you luckily escape before you get the saw.
The sequel looks pretty good, they have a strong atmosphere again.
Outlast was enjoyable but I couldn't play it for long periods because I am a pussy.
This is giving me Forbidden Siren vibes, I love it.

I wasn't hating on Outlast, even really enjoyed Outlast myself and am hyped for the sequel right now. It's just that Layers of Fear did a better job at scaring me while being pretty creative and was less predictable imo.
For some people it's a walking simulator though.

Yeah that was actually the worst part of the entire game but the rest is really good. Like rooms changing just after turn around, stuff coming out of paintings etc
