• Anyone noticed how corporations takes our nicknames for granted

You know, it's like our identity online, we can switch usernames, but it's weird if you have a username for like a long time then you think about the joys of switching to another name, like starting over, literally. Well my username was based on Dr. Breen from HL2 and was a temp HL2DM nickname, but the other one i use nowadays i have used since like 2005/2006 and i can't imagine changing it then again if i do imagine changing it i feel that it would be a huge pain in the ass to go through every possible website which i can change it so i don't even bother. I find it interesting that for veteran(not that I'm that much of an internet old-schooler) users changing is hard, and i remember those initial days when i was playing counter-strike for the first time it was hard not to change my nicknames i'd find use different ones everyday and it took years to find one that sounded good enough for myself. I think this choice is the one thing about internet we take for granted, but fortunately some people still know how important it is, for example that Blizzard debacle where they wanted everyone to use their real names, they would go for it if no one had whined enough. Basically, it's a great thing to be able to change something whenever anyone wishes. :3:
I've had this nick since ~03
I've been Murkrow since I was 12 and I've had a worms avatar since I was 13. By the way, Murkrow is a Pokemon species. And even though it seems pretty childish after 7 years, I still keep it because everyone who knows me on the internet knows me by my avatar and pseudonym.
I've been Prefanatic since 02. Used to be ToneKray, whom I stole from some black guy who played Habbo Hotel, but I didn't like it. I can't see myself switching names anytime soon. Too much of a pain in the ass to do it; and I've got Prefanatic down in my finger's muscle memory.
I have and always will be Timenova. :buddy: I like the name. I can't remember any other username I have used.
I got 2 identities. Petrussen is the oldest, and Zalador is the most recent.
I used my nickname since I played a classic gameboy game back from before pokémon red/blue was released. It was called "Duck adventure" and came in a 4in1 game cartridge released by commin which was apparently unlicensed by Nintendo.
I've had a bunch of names, but I've been sticking with Zoidbear for the past year or so
I've always been Happyface/Happyfaic I only change it on my second Steam account to avoid confusion. I also like Dave Strider.
For all of the games when I was younger when you had to put three letters for your score I always put Poo. Then I because Inafinus as when I was younger I thought it would be cool to make my own language and Inafinus meant "Go screw yourself". I thought I was so cool.
I started off as Bandicoot, then Him came along about 2006. Now it's OneSizeOnly, I like the ring of it.
I used to change name quite often, but about a year after joining FP I changed my nickname to Firepaw. It has stayed as that ever since :buddy:
Been Livewire since I was 11, 18 now.
I've been Flyboy since like - Oh god. I just went to check exactly when I became Flyboy, because I originally signed up for the MMO called There in like 2005. But, it's shut down now and it came as a shock and my god nostalgia.
Turnips is more deep-rooted than you might think. I've used it and one more identity almost exclusively since I had a nickname.
I've been Rizzey since... 2003 I think. The only reason I can think of to change it is in case I fuck up something so monumentally badly that I have to choice but to commit internet suicide and emerge under a new name.
I've had mine since I set up my first email because JLJ was take and those are my initials
I've stuck with this since I was 9, being a kid I wanted a "cool and edgey badass name". I would change it but I've made hundreds of friends using this name and changing it would be a serious pain in the ass. Especially because most websites stick you with one username for eternity.
I change my user name and start other care free. I've had many user names I my past, all of which I wish to keep anonymous.
since '07 mega1npact noticed the spelling fail in 2010 since then mega1mpact
My earliest nickname was "Meso Warrior" when I still played MapleStory. Still stick with it on some sites nowadays, but I generally use my current one now.
What used to be my old username since around 2002-3 is now my password , but over the years I had a lot of them. I used to go on NeoPets, there I was Bunnylover*somenumbers* but I forgot my password so I remade it as BunnyLover*evenmorenumbers* with my old username as the PW. Also my sister needed me for some bank crap or some shit on Gaia Online (I think they called them mule accounts) so there I was darkling or something like that, named after that final ghost in Ghost Master. I can still remember how they changed the shit out of their website layouts. Then also when I played Crimson Skies I was named l33tace (as in elite ace, despite being like 10 or 12 I had a sense of irony, I remember going by some standard username, then sucking really hard and naming myself that). That was the first time I got trolled when some guy called me tace to tease my poor 1337speak skills. On steam it was at first Wakka in 2007 when the orangebox came out (as in the pacman sound effect) but people kept asking me if I played final fantasy because apparently it's a FF character, then it was Right4Dead (I was the first guy to actually name himself that, I remember checking beforehand on steam community :c00lbert:) but then there was too many of them and none of them knew about the sequel gag by some journalists anymore, so now I'm Parody. Because I never randomly friended everyone, I only have one guy on my friends list left who still knows me as Wakka. I'm also Parody on the EDForums and TBR forums. So yeah I changed my name around a lot, I still do when I troll some random website. Oh yeah and I'm Wewt on Facepunch and Garrysmod.org
most of the people on the internet know me as bluesuits, at least on the one other forum I frequent but I usually keep it as bluesuits or now as Bluesuits' fixed computer, after when my computer fucked up for no reason.

I just came out of the closet, but I've always been a Smut Nippler deep down inside. My friends and family have, surprisingly, been very supportive of my decision.
I just use my real name.
Hi Yo Mother.
Been Riut/Riutse/Variations of the name forever.
I choose Whomobile because it's unique and shows how much of a nerd for Dr Who I am.
I've been JustExtreme since like 2001 :D
Dano since I was about 11, the numbers are simply because someone already stole my nickname.
