No YouTube link yet, I'll update the post when there is one.
Criminally underrated show, the syndicated broadcasts were what got me into Sam and Max as a kid.
Fun fact for Canadians, the voice of Sam in the cartoon (Harvey Atkin) is the announcer for all those Leon's Furniture radio commercials
christ I loved this show as a kid, sam and max was the best thing ever from what I remember as a kid.
Oh hell yeah! Ever since I heard about this show I've wanted him to do a review of it!

I knew his voice sounded familiar.
I didn't watch this show until around five years ago, when all the episodes got uploaded to YouTube (I dunno if they're still there anymore), but when I did I definitely enjoyed the wacky antics alongside thoughtful dialogue. I guess one could call it the Shadow Warrior/Wolfenstein: The New Order of 90's cartoons, having an engaging balance of smartness and wacky fun to prove that it doesn't HAVE to be a choice between two (presumably) very different directions.
It's like the little girl in the Old El Paso adverts, asking the question "Why can't we have BOTH?", and being answered with shows like Sam & Max. And hell, Sam & Max served as a tangent that caused me to discover TotalBiscuit. Long story short I was interested in Sam & Max a long time back, leading to me watching playthroughs of the adventure games and the cartoon, then I found TBs video on Poker Night at the Inventory, and from there I started following his content. Strange how seemingly unrelated things can connect the way they do.
Either way, I still wish that TellTale would do another Sam & Max game. That said, whatever happened to Steve Purcell? We haven't heard anything new surrounding Sam & Max since the second Poker Night game in 2013, and apparently he did some work at Pixar for that Toy Story Christmas Special, the one That Time Forgot.

I hope one day Pixar does something with Sam and Max, especially since the company loves them.

I never thought about that... Even if they merely made a short based around the characters waiting around the office waiting for the Commissioner to call, or even put them in as a cameo, I'd watch it.
But a Sam & Max movie would probably be pretty darn cool too, so long as they do it just right. Though maybe a miniseries would fit them better?
imo we are long overdue for another adventure from telltale. (just please don't start taking up another project until you're done with the current clusterfuck though)

Devil's Playhouse was nothing short of superb all around, and Seasons 1 and 2 were also pretty great. If Telltale makes another Sam and Max game, I'd be pretty stoked.
I have some DVDs of this show kickin' around someplace.

Devil's Playhouse is my favorite Telltale game, hands down.

Don't think they would go back to the previous formula that soon; the current one is making them tons of cash and business deals.
Wait until everyone is tired of the "your choices don't actually matter" problem and their shit engine.
