No, just PC version at a later date according to that tweet.
Guys, i came. I've been waiting for this moment for so long.. this and Shadow of the Colossus made sony win by far in my eyes.
never in my life would i have imagined an MH game on PC beyond the MMO games or whatever they are
Oh my god, I can't wait! God I love monster hunter so much.
[sp]Its Dead on arrival[/sp]
Don't rain on my parade, boyo
I really hope this isn't westernized to hell and back like the "leakers" say it is, because apparently it's going to remove a lot of the core Monster Hunter mechanics to try to appeal to a wider audience, dumbing it down, a lot like Dead Rising 4. Despite the fact that it's popular enough in the west already without having to change it and would only GAIN in popularity in this day and age, especially npw it has has the power of the PS4 behind it, people have been wanting a next generation Monster Hunter forever... Pleasse don't ruin it.
im more surprised its having western release announced alongside initial announcement. usually with MH its always release for japan first and then announce western release a year later, keeping us all wondering whether or not shits gonna come at all (as it is now with MHXX)

I don't really mind. It's a spin-off, let them mess around how they want. More MonHun for us and if it's bad, we always have XX.

I'll be disappointed if your dude doesn't do that pose everytime he drinks a potion. I could appreciate a Monster Hunter game today. Hopefully it wont be too westernised.
As long as they keep the "core" of the MH games I'll be really happy. The core to me being fucking monsters up with your friend and using the body parts to make weapons and armor. If both of those things are as interesting as the past MH games then sign me the fuck up. Fuck around with open world shit or whatever else, i don't care as long as my friends and I can murder some goddamn dragons namean
Guys, i came. I've been waiting for this moment for so long.. this and Shadow of the Colossus made sony win by far in my eyes.
It's on Xbox and PC too, silly billy gumdrops.
I'd insta-buy a real Monster Hunter game on PC, but what's this westernization you speak of? All I've really played is MHFU, the trailer seemed kind of in line with that.
Xbone and PC at a later date
I had to do a double take to make sure this wasn't another Chinese region locked MH after seeing that. Holy shit this is awesome!
God damnit I was REALLY hoping for a western Double Cross announcement. Maybe its not too late to hold out hope for one? That aside, I have far more questions for this new title than I do hopes. It looks rather radically different from previous entries. Not that I'm bashing capcom for experimenting. It certainly looks interesting, I just need to see more before I'm entirely sold on the idea of Monster Hunter for PS4. On the bright side though, actual fucking controller with two analog sticks. Been screaming for that for awhile.
God damnit I was REALLY hoping for a western Double Cross announcement. If the combat is quick, controls are responsive, and the weapons and monsters still have a lot of depth to them I'm down.
I thought monster hunter 4 looked quite different from the usual monster hunter formula when i first saw it, and that game turned out to be pretty great. I'm going to be optimistic for this one, it already looks like it has a lot of new fun additions.

time to argue about weapons who else rolling /funlance/ up in this bitch
time to argue about weapons who else rolling /funlance/ up in this bitch
Longsword still DOA in online play if it still trips other players. I can kind of see why people are skeptical about this game. MH4 introduced jumping attacks and more verticality, MHX added hunter styles which drastically changed how weapons were used and how monsters were fought. But World only kept the jumping attacks, included a hook shot, but had no indication of hunter styles returning.
I will really miss the adept style if they're not in the game. Adept charge blade felt really good.
Well i was excited but seeing this also coming out on PC made me even more excited. Really want more info on this, never played a monster hunter game before
Having never played a Monster Hunter title, I'm minutely interested due to the eventual PC release. Here's hoping that 'westernized' doesn't mean 'chock full of microtransactions and as such considerably aggravating without them'.
fuckin you know what they better make it damn good in this considering LBG's turned into a literal LMG now and Gunlance is this weird clunky thing that's not as cool as it should be
its the HBG that got turned into a LMG while LBG is a piece of trash now since HBG got better mobility than LBG Gunlance had always been clunky so I dunno, it was supposed to be a stable weapon that can gets the job done but never the cool weapon imo.
I've been thinking about going back to GS from charge blade + bow. It was satisfying slamming a super-charge into a monster as it spun around. Unfortunately, having a giant explosion erupt from your fully vialed charge blade was twice that. I'm torn on hunter arts and styles, though. The arts were fun to pull out in a flashy way to do some beefy damage, but some of the styles were broken as hell. If I can do cool things without 'em, I think I'd be fine with them gone. Maaaaan, now I'm just making myself hungry for more MH. I can't wait. This looks like everything I've wanted.
