I always liked the ambience of Bioshock, what a good looking series.
they sure managed to make rapture look unappealing with the whole washed out colors thing

it's a youtube video dude
they're not known for their video fidelity
Why would I want to ruin the first 5 minutes?
I cannot wait for this. got my season pass ready. Apparently it's not very long, although I heard that Infinite and it took me 17 hours to complete on Normal difficulty because I was having too much fun to rush it.

Took me 8 hours to complete it, though I was trying my best not to rush it but near the end of the game I think I got a little carried away.

Same. People telling me they finished in like 5 to 7 hours, and I'm sitting here having beat it in 16 hours, walking around looking at everything and loving it.
the dialogue in this is unappealing as fuck
the dialogue in this is unappealing as fuck
i guess they went for cheesy film noir writing but they overdid it and it just sounds horrible.
the dialogue in this is unappealing as fuck
I quite enjoyed the dialouge. I don't see what's unapealing about it.
Not gonna watch it. Playing through B:I's beginning without spoiling the intro was awesome

Nothing in the video as special as Infinite's intro

it sounds incredibly phoned in and fake, like they overdid a parody
every line sounds like they're interrupting each other and it really got old after a minute of it

Eh, regardless I don't like spoiling things, especially the intro.

"This girl was stole-"
"HOW DO YOU KNOW THA-"
"I have my sources Dewitt, I am taking you to one of th-"
"WHERE IS SHE?"
while I know that's not the right things they said, but it's pretty blandly related
The first 5 minutes of gameplay is walking down corridors while Elizabeth talks to you via cheesy dialogue?
So, is this right before shit hits the fan in Bioshock, or well before that?
So, is this right before shit hits the fan in Bioshock, or well before that?
AFAIK Right before.

The first five minutes of B1 were swimming to a lighthouse. B:I, it was taking a boat to the lighthouse and walking up some stairs. I don't quite get your point.
So i'm guessing it's just an alternate pre-rapture events story where they just dropped in the protagonists of bioshock infinite for the heck of it?

[sp]Considering the story of B:I it'd be silly to assume its a totally unrelated story.[/sp]

Well now I think I got an idea on how B:I ends.
Well now I think I got an idea on how B:I ends.
I'm just talking about Elizabeth and her powers in general, and the VERY prominent theme of alternate realities, nothing about the ending.
But I guess I don't wanna send other messages, I'll tag it.
It's good to see Booker still punches elevator buttons with an unnecessary amount of force. Very excited.

The devs have said that the events in BaS is connected to Infinite, and there's a few things people have noticed which support that (the audio at the beginning of this video being one of them).

I didn't mind this too much because you could at least interact with shit and play with the physics engine a bunch. Either way, doesn't mean I like it entirely. Your post assumes that because Half-Life 2 did it then I have to think it's okay.
Not at all. I'm just giving examples of openings people generally liked.
B:I spoilers, I guess.
[sp]I thought the whole "tear" thing in B:I would make for some interesting DLC sequels of alternate reality, but now I'm kind of sad.
This DLC is already predictable if you think about it. Assuming that child is actually Booker's, then according to Elizabeth's theory, there's always going to be her and there's always going to be the lighthouse. All the different Elizabeths, all alive, collide at a certain knot in time to kill the Booker who becomes Comstock. Which means that any DLC sidestory involving Booker will always be keeping some form of Elizabeth alive(Sometimes, like this DLC, with a different Elizabeth guiding him on) in order to complete the circle of events leading up to the baptism.
Unless there's some different character DLC, like the Luteces(?), I can't think of any other way it could go.[/sp]
Then again, that's just my theory.

What was the reason for posting it? Why did you feel I needed to know these examples?
