looks really pretty not sold on the puzzles at all though. seems like a very odd way of doing things. quite impressive it allows you to work out the rules of the puzzle yourself but that kind of trial and error is going to turn a massive proportion of players off what irks me most is how these puzzles are in the setting though. they look like they're completely disconnected from the world and the narrative... random flatscreen monitors in a natural environment knowing blow though there'll be some ridiculous metaphor involved explained by 20 minutes of exposition

This looks great. I love exploring games, but the cut and paste puzzles that give you a set of rules to work with get boring unless they're clever. But exploring the rules of the puzzle is a neat aspect I look forward to experiencing.
i dont think he's aiming for a majority of players
if i recall correctly blow's at the top of list when it comes to "artsy" developers so yeah probably not that he doesn't make good games
Jon Blow may be artsy and opinionated, but he has a very nice inside voice and is relatively well spoken. Unlike a certain ex-indie developer.
Sucks they wont be bringing back Shira Kammen and the rest for a soundtrack :( That soundtrack made the game for me. God it's amazing.

Looks like a casual myst game. I don't mind
i see this game exploits dsp's greatest weakness
Those puzzles look like they'd get old very quickly. As in that looks like a horrible way of doing them.
I'm guessing there will be different styles of puzzles depending on the part of island you're on. so don't expect all the puzzles to be just like the beginner ones except with more whites you need to defend from blacks.....
