Remember the days before Facebook's iOS app ditched HTML 5 and sped things up with some native code? It turns out that there's some regret in Menlo Park about relying on the web markup language. Betting on HTML 5 for the app is "one of the biggest mistakes if not the biggest strategic mistakes we've ever made," Mark Zuckerberg said in an interview at TechCrunch Disrupt today. The firm's CEO also mentioned that new features will be making their way to the app and a snappier Android version is coming down the pike "when it's done."
More like the biggest mistake that they will admit that is a mistake.
I can think of a bigger mistake

I wonder who told them that would be a good idea?

... Is that a Duke Nukem: Forever reference?
I solved this problem a long time ago. Close Facebook App, Uninstall Facebook App, Open Web Browser, Enter facebook.com into the address bar, hit okay.
Windows Phone app is the best facebook app around, just a little slow but nothing beats m.facebook.com
I love getting the "this webpage is unavailable" when you disable your mobile network sometimes

yes elecbullet duke nukem forever spawned the phrase "it'll be done when it's done"

How long will you people fail to understand that Facebook only gained by releasing these overvalued stocks, and their drop means absolutely nothing for them?
That's okay Zuckerberg. Just make the Android app actually good and all's forgiven.
Am i the only one who never has probelms with the app?

Well you could've just gotten used to the shittyness.

Stallman is king of the tinfoil hat
He's also pretty crazy.
Yep, which is quite sad, because if you scrub out the absolutely nutter tinfoil diarrhea from his speeches, then most of it actually makes sense.

Oh boy a link to an RMS rant about things that does not respect my freedom.
I don't use it, and you shouldn't either.
as much as I respect RMS, he shouldn't force his opinion on other people.

No.
You shouldn't use facebook.

considering how nutty some your posts have been, I'm actually slightly suspecting you to be RMS himself.

Not much, like trying to find diamonds in a huge tank of manure.
Almost worth it though.
I sometimes use Google's search engine, and I sometimes use DuckDuckGo. When I use a search engine, it is always from a machine that isn't mine and that other people also use. I never identify myself to the site, of course.

I fetch web pages from other sites by sending mail to a program (see git://git.gnu.org/womb/hacks.git) that fetches them, much like wget, and then mails them back to me. Then I look at them using a web browser, unless it is easy to see the text in the HTML page directly.
Needs more tinfoil hats.

User agent manipulator.
Like that one user here I can't remember the name of who seems like he's running Internet Explorer on a Linux machine.

That's Lavacano.

I use debian on my laptop but the user agent says windows 7. I spoof it so certain sites won't bitch about an unrecognized user agent.
